~Author's Note~

Lorelai didn't directly blame Jason for Emily and Richard's separation and almost getting divorced, but secretly that what I truly think that she secretly blamed him for her parent's marriage troubles. Now, I know what you must be thinking. What is she talking about? Lorelai didn't have the greatest relationship with her parents, so why would she care about her parents getting separated, but she did end up caring Jason was suing Richard and that is why she broke up with him and that was satisfied. This one-shot is about what if she blamed him for Emily's and Richard's (her parents') separation. Hope you enjoy!!!

(No one's POV)

"You have to leave right now. You can't stay here", Lorelai insisted. Jason Stiles were in Stars Hollow and at the Dragonfly Inn. He was trying to persuade Lorelai to get back into with him.

"One room. That's all I want", Jason kept insisting.

"No, Jason. I have no room for you. Plus, I don't know if it's a good idea for you to be there, since my parents for here also for the trial run", she said, she said that so that he would want to leave, but that plan failed.

"Oh, so Richard and Emily are here. Well I would be very happy to see them", he said, though he's totally obvious that both Richard and Emily never wanted to see them again.

Lorelai looked at him and was shocked to hear that he was saying. "Jason, they never want to see you again"?

Jason looked at her shocked, he had no idea what she was talking about, "Lorelai what are you talking about? Why won't Emily and Richard not want to see me"?

Lorelai glared at him and said reproachfully, "why do you think Jason? Could it be possibly because you were the reason they separated".

Jason was suddenly startled by her statement, "Wait. How is it my fault"?

Lorelai looked at him with her 'Are you kidding' look on her face. After a few seconds of silence, which she used to compose herself before she said, "Yes. It was your fault. No, I'm talking right now", she said. As he was trying to interrupted her. He stood silently and stayed quiet while she reprimanded him.

"First, you leave your father's company, then, because my father was just run out of your father's insurance company, you come to him and told him that you wanted to merge with him because you wanted to get back to your father", she says, and he nods his hand, then she again keeps talking.

"Second, when my mother was organizing a launch party for you and my dad. What did you do? You said that you had already organized a launch party in Atlantic City, and then on top you insulted my mother, and you told her that her party planning wasn't modern and old-fashioned", she said, Jason who had stayed silent had to stand up for himself now, which he said, "But, I did apologize to her", Jason insisted.

Lorelai sighed, and said, "Yes, I know, but you never really apologized to me, for the cancelled launch party".

"Too you"? Jason asked, really shocked. "why should I apologize to you"?

Lorelai rolled his eyes at what he said, because it's obvious that he's oblivious as to what she was talking about.

"My business partner Sookie and I was going to cater for the event, and we cooked and planned it, then to have you cancel the launch party that my mom, my partner and I have worked so hard to work on, especially me and my business partner, Sookie. We could have used that money for the Inn, and we lost out because of you".

"Well Lorelai, I'm sorry, even through it's a little late to apologize", Jason said, reluctantly. Hoping that if he shoved remorse then maybe she would take him back.

"Well, thank you, but you were right. It is too late for the apology", Lorelai said, dashing Jason's hopes to reconcile with her.

"Then, you would drag my dad off to those business trips at the last minute, so he couldn't tell Mom, and she barely got to see him and she missed him".

Jason had listened to everything that she was saying, but he couldn't see how that would have made Emily and Richard's marriage fall apart.

Lorelai continued her bashing and said, "Then on top of everything you did. Like you hadn't done enough before that, you have a meeting with an client that was on your agreement with your father lets it come out that we are seeing each other, then my parents found out, and on top of that your father announced he is suing my father and taking him for everything he owns.

"But, he did work it out with my father and he got my father to drop the law suit, by cutting me out of the business", Jason said, tried to reason with her.

Lorelai spat back, "Yes, he did. As soon as I found out he did that, do you know what I did? I went over there and I had a run in with him and I told him that he shouldn't do that. He called me selfish. Then you tell me that you suing my father for cutting you out of the business. I defend you and you do this".

Jason was startled, he didn't know that she did that for him.

"You defended me? Why did you say anything"?

"You didn't ask you", she said, reproachfully.

Jason hung his head and said, "but why could that make them separate"? Jason asked, still not getting it.

"They already had an unstable marriage and then with your father suing him and then the business with you, put them over the edge", she said.

"So, this is it. Are you going to break up with me because of them"?, Jason asked her.

Lorelai looks mover at him, oh man he just don't get it does he? "No, we are breaking up because I defended you, in front of father and listened to him while he called me selfish. I did that for you,
