Chapter Fifty Nine w/ note :
Charlie's P.O.V
I formed my hand into a fist, and placed two gentle knocks on Niall and Kyla's apartment door. The door opened in less than three seconds as if Niall was on the edge of his seat for my arrival.
I waved. "Hi, Niall."
"Hey, Charlie," Niall greeted. He opened the door wider and gestured for me to come in. I kicked off my shoes once inside, and slipped off my jacket. Niall walked back over to the living room portion of the flat as I put my jacket and purse on one of the hangers. I brushed pieces of hair out of my face and noticed Harry was joined with Niall on the couch.
"What's Harry doing here?" I made myself at home in one of the living room chairs, and tucked my feet and legs underneath me as I began to trace invisible things on the solid colored chair.
"I need help from the two of you."
"I know that. I read your text," Harry and I said in unison. We both exchanged looks before turning our attention back to Niall.
Niall picked up two magazines from a small cardboard box and handed them to us. I looked down at the cover, and examined the beautiful, ivory, almost princess like gown a girl was wearing with a crown.
"A bridal magazine?" Harry asked.
"I'm planning on proposing to Kyla-"
"Mate, you don't need a bridal magazine to do that," Harry tossed the magazine he had onto the coffee table. I was the opposite; flipping through the thin pages and admiring the cool looking venues for ceremonies and destinations for honey moons.
"What?" Niall asked.
"All you need is a ring," I replied. "And a girl or guy that you love. If I were you, I'd keep the proposal with Kyla simple and traditional."
"What?" Niall repeated.
"Have you asked for her father's blessing?"
"No, not yet."
"That's what you should do first after buying the ring. It's respectful to ask for the blessing. My date for prom did that for his promposal, and I thought it was romantic. But then we never talked to each other again after prom night," I said. I closed the bridal magazine and played with the edges of the cover. "Go to Miami and ask her dad for permission!"
"Harry, how did you ask Aria?" Niall looked away from me and over to Harry. I rolled my eyes.
"Well, I-wait, I already told everyone it's a secret," Harry crossed his arms. Niall gave him puppy dog eyes. "I'm not telling you. The whole thing is personal to Aria and I."
"But I need inspiration," Niall begged.
"Go on YouTube if you're desperate. I don't know why you asked the two of us to come and help. The proposal should be all you, not planned by other people," I said. "Do something Kyla likes; propose at her favorite restaurant, write a song, take her to another country, take a walk on the beach, announce it at a baseball game..." I listed random options. I noticed Niall start writing something down on a note pad with pen. "You could even rent a hot air balloon and take her over London."
"Charlie, I don't think-"
Niall cut Harry off. "I got it!"
"What is it?" Harry leaned over to see what Niall wrote, but Niall moved the note pad away from his sight. "Please?"
"I'm not telling you. It's personal."
"But Liam told us how he proposed to Vivian."
"So? I'm not Liam."
