A soft knock from the door woke me up from my hopeful permanent slumber.

"Its almost noon, love. Are you feeling okay?" Aunt Belinda's soft voice exclaimed from behind the door.

"Yeah, I'm up I'll be out in a little while"

I heard footsteps backing away from the door and that's my que.

I grab a pair of my old skinny jeans and an oversized shirt and a pair of underwear and went to the shower.

After my relaxing bath and wearing my clothes. I head down stairs to the kitchen.

"Morning, beautiful!" A familiar voice greeted me;

"Oh my god!" I ran into his arms and hugged him. I felt uneasy while hugging him, he's taller and his muscles are bigger than I remember, heck he doesn't have this physic when I last saw him. His brown hair properly gelled on the side of his head and his eyes...the eyes I've know, his greenish eyes I've missed.

"I've missed you too" He whispers on my hair, I didn't even had to tell him that I've missed him because he already know. He knows me too well.

"Connor! I can't believe it! Its like seeing a ghost from the past!" I chucked pulling away from our hug, "What are you doing here?"

"Oh he's been preparing breakfast for you all morning and he just can't wait to see you ever since I mentioned to him that you'll come visit soon" Aunt Belinda answers my question for him before walking out if the kitchen giving us some privacy.

"That's very thoughtful of you!" I brushed my shoulders against his as we both lean on the counter table, "So? What did you cook? it feels like its been forever" I sighed as flashbacks of our childhood floods into my mind.

"Well, your all time favorite!" He answers,

Gesturing me to the table where chocolate waffles are stacked on a plate, some sausages and spam.

He knows me too well.

"Well, I don't know if its still your favorite because you've been gone for years and I'm comprehending if you're still the girl...well, lady that I grew up with who likes playing in the mud and catching butterflies and tadpoles by the-" He rumbled obviously nervous from our first encounter from over the years but I cut him off,

"I'm still me" I chuckled and he smiled,

I took a seat and tried out everything that he prepared.

"Everything's perfect, I didn't know you could cook this well" I exclaimed.

"Well, when you're living alone you've got to know everything"

"Living alone?"

"Oh, uh-yeah my mom passed away last 7 months ago"

I felt my heart ache I didn't know about this I feel like I'm a bad friend for not knowing this and for not being beside him when I knew that he needed me.

I lost my appetite but pretended that I didn't. He worked so hard, he put up an effort for this I will hurt his feelings if I don't finish most of it. I know it will.

"I'm sorry I didn't know I wished I couldv-"

"No its okay, I know that there is a lot going on with you too. I understand its not a big deal, Pheobear" He cut me off with a smile on his face as he says Pheobear the nickname he has always given me since the first time I've met him.

"Oh shut up, Con-shell" I retorted with a smirk on my face,

"God, I've really missed you" His smile so bright I know that he really meant every word.
