Since Raine was the only one who was sitting down, she was the only one who stood up to bow to the King as he entered the room.  Instead of following the rules, Bai Yu runs towards Lui Wei, tears falling down her face.

Bai Yu frowns when, instead of Lui Wei opening his arms out to hug her and comfort her, Lui Wei stared sternly at her, making her stop immediately.  

What happened to her Lui Wei? Why did he look at her that way?  He ever looked at her that way before, why is it that he did it today and in front of everyone?  Why? What hurt her feelings even more was that he didn’t even acknowledge her. He walked pass by her, and took Queen Ame’s hand and helped her up!  

Bai Yu cried silent tears as Lui Wei help Queen Ame sit down before letting everyone else sit.  

“Lui Wei!”  Bai Yu shouted in desperation.  

Just seeing Lui Wei sitting next to someone else that wasn’t her made her heart hurt so much.  It felt as if there was a stone stuck inside of it and weighed her shoulders down as her lips pouted.  Bai Yu’s tears couldn’t stop falling. Lui Wei ignored her tears. He ignored her sadness.

“Lui Wei….” Bai Yu whispered.  

Raine looked at the two face woman begging to be noticed and comforted.  Begging to be spoiled and begging for his love. Raine looked to her right and saw that the King was angry.  His fists were tightened so much that veins were popping out.

“Kneel.”  Lui Wei ordered.   

Bai Yu’s eyes looked down for a moment, as if her whole world shattered.  Her tears fell down even faster as she bit her lip and kneeled. Her shoulders shook and her body shivered.  

“L- Lui.. We… you… must bring j-justice to B-Bai Yu.”  Bai Yu mewed out through her crying.

“Silence!”  Lui Wei commanded icily.  His stare tightened and his frown dipped deeper.  

Bai Yu was a commoner and did not grow up knowing the rules to become a noble lady, she did not know what she did wrong and why Lui Wei was treating her so bad.  

Raine’s face held no emotions in her features.  It was a blank mask as Lui Wei quickly looked at her before looking at his childhood love.  His heart hurt to see her crying, however what he hated most were people who he cared about, that made him look bad in front of others.  

By not bowing to him when Bai Yu saw him, by not calling him King, by not acting like a Noble Concubine, by showing disrespect to his Queen, by showing her insolence and talking back to Queen Ame in front of everyone, by threatening Queen Ame with his power and authority, by outright lying to him so he could protect her from Queen Ame.

Everything that Bai Yu did, made him lose face in front of others.  Especially since she is he favorite woman. Lui Wei sigh softly not letting others see how disappointed he was of Bai Yu.  He truly pampered and spoiled Bai Yu too much, causing her to act this way. Now that he is King, she should learn how to act like a Noble Consort instead of a common woman.  

“There is no justice to be uphold, for there was nothing to bring justice to.”  Lui Wei said as he looked at his crying woman. He harden his heart not to go to her.  This would be a learning lesson for her. “What Queen Ame said is right. There are laws that we all must follow and should those laws be broken, punishment should be given.  Your punishment will be as Queen Ame says.”

Bai Yu looked up to Lui Wei in surprise.  He actually took Ame’s side!?! How could he do this to her?  He loved her the most. Her heart broke even more as Lui Wei waved his hand.
