As Eva and York moved in, Violet packed up to leave. She was able to reach out to her maternal side's lawyer and arrange her new housing the same day. Her Maternal Grandmother had left Violet her downtown condo in her Will and it had been left empty for Violet.

Lyle Barlow, her lawyer, was able to file and submit the petition of Emancipation of a Minor and list her Maternal Grandfather, Leon Allen, as adult next friend. A copy of it was quickly sent to Tyler's lawyer and was quickly delivered to Tyler.

Raine stood by the window and watched as Tyler and his lawyer argue in the backyard. Tyler was probably talking about ways to try to keep parental control over her.

Several maids were inside of her room, packing up her belongings. The only things she left behind were the many knick knacks that filled the room.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, Raine turned around and saw that it was York. He stood by the door and looked as if he wanted to talk.

"Take a break." Violet ordered the maids. "Come back in an hour."

The maids stopped what they were doing and quietly left. York stood silent by the door and didn't approach her.

"Come to see if I'm really packing up or not? Afraid that I might not leave?" Violet said while leaning against the window. Violet turned around and looked out the window. "Don't worry. With me gone, your life here with your mother will be much happier. Father can finally be a good Father to you and a good husband to Lizzie."

"We really didn't mean for this to happen. Mother and I, I mean." York finally said.

"Doesn't matter if you meant it or not. It happened and this is the consequence of their actions."

York's hand grip the door tighter. His mother told him to get along with Violet. Always told him that it was because of her selfishness that caused Violet's mother to be sick. Caused Violet's mother death and hurt Violet's feelings. His mother told him that no matter how much Violet yelled at her, or treated her badly, he wasn't allowed to interfere.  He was also to get along with Violet, because she was angry, hurt and alone. They had to be understanding of her actions and words because his mother wronged Violet first.

He hadn't expect for her to move out the moment they moved in. He didn't expect her to emancipate herself from her own family. He didn't expect her to be so straightforward and decisive once she decided to do something.

"Don't leave." York said. "You don't have to."

"But I do. Did you think I was only leaving because of you and Lizzie? Ha! Don't be so egotistical and think the two of you are the only reason why I'm leaving."

York came and stood by her, his looked at Violet for a moment before looking outside.

"What are the other reasons as to why you're leaving?"

"This house, holds too much sad and angry memories for me. Living here is scofficating." Violet said softly. She watched as Tyler and his lawyer argue even more. "Not a damn good thing happened in this house. This house and everything inside of this house was a ball and chain for him."

The "him" Violet was referring to was Tyler. York and Violet watched Tyler begin to pace back and forth on the lawn.

"He hated every minute, living here. So much so that he worked so much that he would rather sleep at work than to come home and sleep here. My mother loved him, probably just as much as your mother loves him. He never saw my mother's love for him as a blessing, he just her family's money as a blessing to him. And I was born out of an obligation to fulfill a contract."

"You don't know that."

"But I do. He was never there for me. Not at my birth, not at any birthday parties, not at any school functions, not at any breakfast or dinners. He was never there... for any of it. He probably doesn't even know my middle name. Everytime we meet, we would fight because it was the only way I could make him pay attention to me. Sad right? After that, it became a habit for us to speak ill towards each other. Even if I was minding my own business, he would never have a good or nice word to say to me."

Violet turned to look at York before looking up to the sky.

"When I was young, I could never understand why my father did not love my mother, when she loved him so much. It was only after my mother's death that I realize that you can't force love. No matter how passionate that love may be, if the other person doesn't want it, then that love is a waste."

Violet turned around and began packing again.

"I don't want to waste anymore time here. I want to be free of all of this. From the bad memories. The hurtful words. The constant fighting. Now I can understand why he hated living here so much. With me gone, you and your mother can make this broken home into a home that can make him stay and want to come home to every night."

Violet cleared her throat as her voice wavered. She held back her tears and kept her hands busy to keep her feelings steady.

"Lizzie was always the woman he wanted to be his wife. And you can now be the perfect child he always wanted to raise. And this broken home, with bad memories will be replaced with a perfect family. And that can't happen with me living here. I'll always be the constant reminder that he sold his pride, his love, and his soul for money. I'll always be the child of the woman he hated. The daughter he never wanted nor get along with. It's better for all of us that I leave. We can all start our new lives without a heavy heart or baggage of any kind."

Violet turned around to look at York, his face told her that he wanted to argue with her and try to convince her to stay, however he couldn't let those words out. Everything that she said were valid reasons and there was nothing anyone could say to change her mind.

"With me gone, my Father and Lizzie won't have to feel so guilty when they show their love publicly. With me gone, my Father and I won't get into arguments or say hurtful words to each other. With me gone, you and Lizzie can comfortably live here."

"I'm afraid." York confessed. "I'm afraid that if you leave, you'll disappear and I can never see you again."

Valentin? Raine thought as her eyebrows squished together in confusion.

When York stood next to her, he wore cologne and she couldn't smell Valentin's scent on York.

"We've only just met and you're acting clingy already? It's not like I'm disappearing forever, I'm just moving out." Violet try to tease York to break the heavy air that surround them. "Besides, if you want to see me, you can always visit me."

"You don't hate me?"

"Why should I? Have you done something bad towards me?"

"No. But do you hate my mother? For what she and Tyler did to you and your mother? For all the bad memories?"

"The moment my mother died, I let go of the hate and resentment inside of me. That's how I can leave today without any regrets." Violet told him truthfully. "For the first time in my life, I look forward to what the future holds for me. I can finally breathe."

"Okay. I'll let you go, for now." York said as he agreed with Violet.

It was only later that he regretted his decision and his words.
