“Stay.” Raine said as she began to destroy all the information saved onto the computer. “I haven’t paid them back yet for treating Echo this horribly. And I still need to save the Okio Pack from these evil creatures.”
Raine quickly left Jack’s office and went to the security room. With quick and quiet movements, she entered the security room and used her Natural Magic. She created and shot ice daggers into the security men’s chest. Instantly piercing their heart and killing them on the spot.
Inside of the security room, she and Scam System placed the facility under emergency lock down, locking every door in the facility. Only those inside of the security room could open the emergency lock doors. She watched as the military men and women swept the hallways one by one, to ensure there wasn’t a breach, however every time they entered the security room, no one came out.
Raine had built a small mountain of dead bodies in the security room, once she was sure that there would be no more military soldiers who were on patrol and on stand by, she unlocked one room at a time. Letting the soldiers and the scientist leave the room, to only be killed by Raine.
After 20 rooms, the rest of the scientist and soldiers understood that if they left the room that they were locked inside of, they would die. They no longer had any control over the security feed, nor any connection to the outside world to call for help. They were sitting ducks, only waiting for their deaths as Raine went from room to room, spraying them down with the semi-automatic guns that the military men were issued.
In the last room that Raine saved for last, was the meeting room with several important people in the military, as well as several important scientists, that included Jack Sube.
Once the meeting room door was opened wide, there were quick gun shots aimed towards the door. Raine waited by the side of the open door, crotched down and against the wall. She pulled the pin of the flash grenade and threw it in before closing the door again.
After the flash, Raine entered the room and quickly killed everyone except Jack Sube. Raine had only shot his knee caps and his wrists, making him unable to run away or grab her.
“Stop! Please mercy!” Jack pleaded as his blonde hair waved back and forth every time he shook his head no. “Please. I’m your Father!”
Raine aimed the gun at Jack and sneered.
“Never thought this day would come, did you?” Raine said as she was suddenly filled with feelings of hate. “Should have left me alone and you would have still be living. Now I’ll give you a taste of your own medicine.”
Jack could only watch with horror and struggle with hopelessness as Echo stabbed him with a needle that was filled with the SS serum, infecting him with the zombie virus. With the dosage, Jack screamed at the top of his lungs, feeling every part of his body and mind burn up with fire. His humanity was quickly erased and a nonsensical glaze came over his eyes. He growled loudly at Echo, however Echo quickly placed a bullet inside of Jack’s head.
[ Congratulations! You have successfully complete hidden side mission, 'Kill Jack Sube' ]
His quick death was more than he deserved, however Raine wanted to burn down the facility and leave the cursed place to go back to Hiro and Kaiya.
Raine made sure to erase all data and technology on the SS serum on all of the back up servers, before using her Natural Magic to burn the facility down. Raine walked out of the checkpoints and the double doors without looking back. She found the helicopter on the empty field and jumped into it.
“Do you have information on how to fly this thing?” Raine asked Scam System.
[Yes. I can teach you how to fly this helicopter.]
“Good.” Raine said as the fire in front of her caused more attention as it burned big and brightly in the dusk sky. She was worried that her Scam System would make her use her well earned Soul Force Points, just to learn how to fly the helicopter.
With the help of her Scam System, Raine flew the helicopter toward Okio Pack territory. When she arrived to the training field, there was already a large gathering of werewolves ready to fight. However once the helicopter landed, and the engine was shut off, Raine came out of the helicopter to a silent crowd.
They were in disbelief that their Luna had saved herself and came back to them in the very same helicopter who took her away. Standing in front of the crowd, were both Alphas, Hiro and Kaiya with red rimmed eyes as they held their tears back.
Echo had returned. Safe and sound, back to their side. When she was taken away, they had feared that they would never see her again. But she had saved herself and came back to them of her own free will. They were in the process of gathering a rescue team to bring her back, but she came back all by herself.
With only a few feet between Echo, Hiro and Kaiya, she was quickly surrounded in their embrace. Hiro and Kaiya bit Echo’s neck, without feeling apologetic or hesitant that they marked her again, in front of their whole pack. This intimate scene caused the pack to cheer, scream and shout out loud with happiness that their pack was whole again.
“You came back.” Hiro said as he brushed Echo’s hair away from her face.
“I’ll always come back to you.” Echo told him as she leaned up to kiss him. “And you.”
Echo turned to kiss Kaiya as well.
“I belong to you, just as much as you belong to me.” Echo said as she laid her head on Hiro’s chest as Kaiya embraced her from behind. Echo turned around and held Kaiya and Hiro’s hand. “I told you I would treat you better this time around.”
“When did you say that?” Kaiya asked as her face scrunched up in confusion.
“A lifetime ago.” Echo told them. “We’ll spend the rest of our lives, loving, caring, and protecting one another.”
“Yes.” Hiro agreed. “We’ll do just that.”
[Congratulations! You have successfully completed hidden side mission, 'Echo's Happiness' ]
Echo lived with Hiro and Kaiya until she was 98 years old. They had their fair share of fighting zombies and humans, but they never had a pack war since then. The only remaining packs were the Okio Pack and the Jocara Pack. After the pack war, the remaining werewolves of the Avilla Pack and the Zilock Pack swore allegiance to Hiro and Kaiya. They were quickly absorbed into Okio Pack. Their territory also grew, however they were able to sustain themselves with the system that they had implemented over 200 years ago.
Although a zombie virus antidote was never found, humans that survived the zombie apocalypse found several successful bases that learned how to live with the harsh environment.
When Echo died, it was on September 23 4186, the wind of the fall Equinox took her spirit, just as fast as it brought her into the world, 98 years ago in the spring Equinox.
Hiro and Kaiya soon passed away after their mate died. The Okio Pack had long planned for this day and the next Alpha took the dead Alpha’s place with ease. In the end, the Okio Pack was the only pack remaining after 500 years and the tales of Luna Echo’s strength, courage and power lived on in their history.
