[He’s not your pet, you know.]

The transparent sphere waved around her head.

“I know.  But it’s fun to flirt with him.”

[So by treating him hot and cold, sending him mixed signals, making him want you, but can’t have you, is fun and flirting?]

“Yes!  Just think about all of the unsettled sexual frustrations built up inside of him and the satisfaction I'll feel at the end!”  Raine told him. “Besides, at this point in time, Axel doesn’t know who Elise is and Elise doesn’t know who Axel is, so it only makes sense to still treat him as a stranger.”

[But you know he’s Lui Wei, so you tease him with your hot and cold responses, making him confused and frustrated with his feelings so you can get a better sexual experience in the end?]

“Bingo!”

[I don’t understand you humans.]

“We have to keep up appearances.”  Raine told him. “We can’t be too out of character, or else Headquarters would detect the anomaly and investigate us.  Would you want Headquarters to start snooping around us after what you did?”

[You mean what you told me to do!]

“I merely suggested the idea, you did it all by yourself.”

[Oh… so are you throwing me to the wolves if we get caught?]

“As if you would let us get caught.”  Raine rolled her eyes before turning to her side and closing it.

“You’re the almighty, all powerful system now, you would work your magic and redirect Headquarter's lacky elsewhere.”

[Humph... would you leave me to the wolves if we get caught?]

Raine rolled to her back again and stared at the insecure system.

“I told you already that we’re in this together.  We’re a team. Besides, between you and me, it’ll be you who sells me out before I sell you out.  Your name is Scam after all.”

[I would never sell you out! When I named I named myself Odan, it means loyal. I would never betray you ever again.]

“Really?”

[Really.]

“In what language does Odan mean ‘loyal’?”

[..............................I can’t remember.]

“A scam system, through and through.”  Raine scoffed as she rolled to her side so her back faced him.  “The almighty, powerful system doesn’t remember…. S.C.A.M.”

[But it’s true though.  Odan does mean loyal. I just don’t remember how I know that.  And when I search through my hardware I can’t find the information on how I know that.]

“Scam, did you break your system when you upgraded yourself?  Did you download a virus?”

[No.  I check for viruses everyday.  There is nothing wrong with me.]

“Then you’re broken.”  Raine said as she yawned. Her fatigue of taking care of Axel came over her.  “It’s okay if you’re broken. I’m broken too, we can be broken together.”

[A system can’t be broken.  We’re not made to be broken.]

Raine fell asleep and did not hear her Scam System say those last sentences.  Scam changed into his human form, sitting on the cushioned chair and stayed by Raine’s side through out the night. He went through all of his hardware and looked through the System Market Place, to see if there was any items to help his memory lost.

When it was midday, Raine woke up to the handsome Honor Guard looking worried.

“Morning.”  Raine said as she sat up and stretched.

“Hmm….”  Odan hummed as his eyes moved from side to side, running different programs to ensure there wasn’t any virus or any deficiencies with his programing or hardware.

“Still worried that you’re broken?”

“Hmm….”

Raine sat on the small table in front of Odan and placed her hand on his head, bring his attention to her.

“It’s okay if we’re broken.  After all of this ‘Last Dying Wish’ missions, we can find out why you’re broken, slowly.  It’s no use panicking now, we have no information or clues to even know where to look. We can take it one mission at a time and slowly get the information we need about you and then we can fix you.”

Odan looked up as his calm and steady Host.  His host always knew the right words and the right things to say and do.  He nodded his head and soon his eyes caught the sight of the man who tied himself to his Host.  The slag lover had a hint of jealousy on his face, but didn’t know the reason why yet.

“Morning!”  Odan said as he tilted his head to the side.  His silky hair fell to the side as well, making him look more alluring.

Elise took her hand off of Odan’s head and turned around.

“Why are you out of bed?!?  You’re still injured!” Elise cried out as she quickly came to his side and placed his arm around her shoulder.

“I heard talking and wanted to see what was happening.”  Axel said as he let Elise walk him to the couch.

Elise helped him sit down and placed pillows behind his back to support him before sitting on the small table facing him.

“You should still be in bed.”  Elise lectured as she placed her fingers on his wrist.  “Not even a day out of a fever and you want to go walking around the house as if you know what’s best for your body.  I’m the Doctor here, I know what’s best for my patients.”

“I was just afraid that you were in danger.”  Axel told her truthfully.

“I’m a Keeper too!  Should anyone want to hurt me, I can just burn them to death.”  Elise reminded him. “Besides, my Honor Guard is here to protect me as well.”

“Odan Marcella.”  Odan said as he reaches his hand out to shake Axel’s hand.

“General.”  Axel said as he took Odan’s hand and shook it.  Their grip was tight, but not threatening.

“Just General?  Don’t have a first or last name?”

“Stop being so nosy.  I swear you’re more nosy than those villagers who have nothing better to do than gossip.”

“Villagers?  I would have thought you were going to say ‘women’.”

“Both men and women gossip, alright!” Elise said as she glared at Odan.  “Do you want to take that ignorant statement back, or do you want me to force you to take it back?”

Odan held his hands up and sat back, away from her.

“I’ll take my statement back any day rather than face your wrath.”  Odan said.

“Good, now be a good Honor Guard and get us water from the well.”

“Yes, ma’am!”  Odan said as he stood up and saluted at Elise.

When he left the room, Elise finally looked over to Axel.  His face was in a state of perpetual darkness. He had a frown on his lips, his eyebrows were squished together and his eyes were slightly squinted as if he was trying to figure out his deep, troubled thoughts.

“You alright?”  Elise asked as she brushed Axel’s hair back from his eyes.  “You look like you have a lot on your mind. Want to talk about it?”

“Your Honor Guard.  What does he mean to you?”
