A/N: Surprise!  Another massive update! 

A reader asked me if I would be changing Raine's name to Ame, seeing how she is now Ame.  And the answer is no.  The story is written in multiple points of view, when it is from Raine's point of view, she still refer to herself Raine (even though she is now Ame), when it is from Bai Yu or Lui Wei's point of view, they will address Ame as Ame (or Queen Ame). 

Even though this can be confusing to some, Raine stills considers herself as Raine and not as Ame.  She is on a mission and the only important thing to her is the mission.

Bai Yu sits alone in her room as the servants move her belongings inside of her new courtyard.  It is twice as small as her old courtyard and nothing looked pleasing to her eyes. Her tears fall silently as she reminisces about her love with Lui Wei.  

When she met him, she didn’t know who he was.  She had treated him like she treated everyone else and that made him like her. Then with time, Lui Wei began to love her.  How did things change so much in such a short time?

She loved Lui Wei before he was King.  Before she knew he was a prince. Before… their love was simple.  Now, everything is so complicated.

Bai Yu sat in her seat, watching the courtyard door, hoping to see Lui Wei come and comfort her.  From the afternoon to the evening and into the dark night. No one else walked through the door. Some time during the night, darkness consumes her and she falls into her maid’s arms.  

When Bai Yu woke up, she felt so hollow.  Her Lui Wei no longer cherishes her. No longer loves her the way he use to.  Bai Yu curled into a ball and covered her head with the blanket. Any words spoken to her by the maids were ignored.  She wanted to be alone and sleep. If she died, no one would care.

When Bai Yu woke up again the smell of food set up on the table in her room. It smelled delicious, however she didn’t have the energy to eat.  It was only after some time did she notice someone sitting on the side of her bed. As she quickly removes the blanket over her head, she sees the man who she loves more than anything, the man who shattered her heart.

“Finally awake?”  Lui Wei said as he turned around to look at her.  

His smile didn’t reach his eyes.  His eyes were no longer soft and caring, they looked fake in her eyes.  

“Finally remember me?”  Bai Yu said softly as tears begins to fall down her face again.  

“How can I forget about you?  You’re my Bai Yu. Wherever I go, you go.”  

“Humph.”  Bai Yu pouted, she wasn’t going to let him win her over so easily. “Then were where you yesterday?  Why didn’t you come to me yesterday?”

“You and I both know that we needed time to calm down.  I didn’t want to say anything that would make the both of us more angry or sad.”  Lui Wei said as he brushed her stray hair back. “If I didn’t love you, or cherish you, or care for you, I wouldn’t be here now, would I?”

“Humph!”  Bai Yu pouted again as she looked away from him.  With only a few words, she could forget everything bad he did to her and forgive him.  

“Come, have something to eat.  The maids say that you haven’t eaten anything.  You must eat something or I’ll worry.” Lui Wei persuaded softly.  

When she didn’t say anything or move, he gathered her up into his arms and carried her to the table.  Sitting down into a chair, he lets her sit on his lap as he feeds her.

Bai Yu slowly lets him feed her and hold her.  She misses his body next to hers. Misses his scent.  Misses his kisses. Misses him spoiling and pampering her.  She missed him dearly. Why couldn’t it be like this forever?  

“You must eat to have energy.  You must live well, so I don’t have to worry so much.  Do you understand?”

“Bai Yu understands.”  

“Good.  Eat more.”  

After feeding Bai Yu, Lui Wei orders a bath for her and he spends the time to bathe her personally.  

“Lui Wei, why don’t you join me?”  Bai Yu asked as her cheeks lit up pink.  

“You need to be taken care of.  Your maids told me that you hardly ate anything during your reflection period and didn’t eat anything yesterday.  You don’t have the energy now to do something so vigorous. Be good and let me take care of you, just the way you’re meant to be taken care of.”  

Bai Yu wanted to argue with him, but decided against it.  She didn’t want him to get mad at her again.

When she was done bathing, Lui Wei helped her get dress and dry her hair.  Once she was fed and clean, Lui Wei sat her down in bed and held her close to him.  

“Bai Yu, the things I am going to say next, you need to listen and obey.”  Lui Wei said softly as he held her tightly in his arms.

“Alright, Bai Yu will do as Lui Wei asks.”  

“Good girl.  Now why did you attack Queen Ame yesterday?”  

Bai Yu stayed quiet not wanting to speak to Lui Wei about Queen Ame.  

“Tell me.”  

Bai Yu shook her head no.  

“If you tell me, maybe I can help you.”

“Will you? Will you really help me?”  

“Of course.”  

“Promise?”

“I promise.  Now why did you try to hurt Queen Ame?”  

“Because I hate her!  I hate everything about her.  She took everything that belonged to me.  She took the Queen title, she took all the things a Queen deserves, she took you away from me.  She embarrassed me in front of everyone, she talks down to me, she thinks she’s better than me. I hate her so much!  I just want to scratch her face and ruin her looks. I want her to die and never come back!”

Lui Wei squeezed Bai Yu closer to him and kissed the top of her head.  

“I’m sorry that you were hurting so much without me knowing.  From today on, you don’t have to see her if you don’t want to.”  

“Really?”  

“Yes.  You don’t have to greet her in the mornings anymore.  Should you see each other when walking in the garden, you will have to endure and greet her properly, afterwards don’t think about her anymore.”  

“I still have to bow down to her?”
