Ece rocked Ayla’s stiff body back and forth as she opened her heart to Ayla.

“As High Master Monk of Asuman Temple, we pledge ourselves to a higher learning so one day we can ascend to the heavens to become immortals.  I have many disciples, but I will never give birth and call someone my kin. From this day forth, Ayla, you will become my adoptive daughter.  No one in Asuman Temple and anywhere else can hurt you. I will teach you everything I know so when the time comes for me to ascend to the heavens, you will be able to stand up on your own two feet and protect yourself.”

Ece held on to Ayla tighter as she declared her intentions.  Never once did she see the sly smile on Ayla’s face as she hid her face in Ece’s shoulders.

Raine’s pitiful play of being bullied, silently enduring and getting the others caught by Ece was perfectly played out and executed.  Was it bad of her to not feel guilty that the three servants that died by Ece’s hand was killed due to her schemes?

The answer was no, it was because of those three girls that Ayla fell down to her death.  Now that those three servants were taken care of by Ece, Raine’s list of people who she had to take revenge on was shortened.  However her work was far from being done.

Nermin and Dilek’s movements were still developing.  In front of Ece, they had nothing but flowery words to say to Ayla, but behind closed doors, their words and movements were slowly being made in the dark.

From that day forward, Ece kept Ayla close to her as much as she could.  Her constant vigil on Ayla caused others to keep their distance. When it was announced that Ayla had now become High Master Monk Ece’s adoptive daughter, the news quickly spread in Asuman Temple and out into the world like rapid fire.

Never in the history of Asuman Temple had the High Master Monk ever adopted a daughter.  This news quickly placed Ayla in the highest seat in Asuman Temple. Those that had kept to themselves were glad they haven’t said or did nothing to displease Ayla.  And those that once had an altercation with Ayla were shaking in their shoes, hoping that Ayla could forgive them and their mistakes.

Ece would take three hours out of her day to help train Ayla.  First Ayla was given a fighting technique book that was personally developed, written and drawn by Ece called The Graceful Lark.  Ece was quickly surprised by Ayla’s ability to learn and her determination to train. She was very happy that Ayla was very studious and trained during her own time.

Ayla quickly learned and comprehended each technique in The Graceful Lark and became a good fighter.  Had Ece not adopt Ayla as her daughter, she would have accepted Ayla as her disciple.

During Ayla’s training, Raine had changed the storyline of Nermin and Dilek.  Instead of letting them come together to target Ayla, Raine used her succubus powers to have Nermin and Dilek come together to have a tumultuous love-hate relationship.

Because Nermin was a transmigrator, she was originally a straight woman and never thought about having a intimate relationship with another woman.  However under Raine’s succubus powers, she had been seduce with desire and fell in bed with Dilek, who had always looked up to Nermin and held a crush on her.

With their first bedroom experience, Dilek was elated when they finally became one.  However Nermin woke up the next day and felt utter disgust. Nermin had tried to keep her distance from Dilek, but she always fell into bed with Dilek, no matter how hard she tried to stop herself.

Her plans to kill Ayla was getting further and further away from her mind and instead planned for her own escape from Dilek.  In another month, Evren would come back from her travels and it would be Nermin’s chance to explore the world and get away from Dilek.  She would have a four month head start before Dilek would leave Asuman Temple to explore the world too. She would have to cover up her trail to ensure they don’t meet in the outside world.

As for Ayla’s death, Nermin could still kill Ayla in the future.  Once Ayla wasn't so well watched and protected by High Master Monk Ece. With her future plans in place, she completely forgotten to take revenge on Ayla and planned for her own escape from her confusing relationship with Dilek.

When Ayla’s first year at Asuman Temple came to a close, Evren came back quietly and immediately went to speak with High Master Monk Ece.  Their private conversation lasted three days and two nights. Everyone was ordered to keep away and no one was able to enter nor disturb High Master Monk Ece’s courtyard, not even Ayla.

During this time Nermin had already prepared her traveling belongings and only kowtowed at High Master Monk Ece’s courtyard before leaving just as silently as Evren came back.  Dilek was angry to say the least, but she could only fume in silence and endure as she would soon leave Asuman Temple in four months.

It was finally night on the third day that Ayla met Evren again since the last time she left, a year ago.  Ayla had taken the past year to “learn” how to play the flute and “practiced” every night.

Ayla was under a peach blossom tree, the moonlight shining down on to her, lightly playing a soulful tune on her flute.  Her red hair was still wet from the bath she had taken and clung to her sleeping clothes, soaking it as her hair air dried.  Ayla sat on the medium size rock, barefeet and lovely.

This was the sight that made Evren stop at the door to memorise.  A whole year away from the girl who moved her heart. The girl who her heart recognised as hers.

In a year, the girl had changed so much.  From what little news Evren could gather in the outside world, Ayla’s place had completely been elevated to stand next to High Master Monk Ece.  As the adopted daughter of High Master Monk Ece, she was now the face and representation of Asuman Temple. While High Master Monk Ece’s disciples became slightly lower than Ayla’s title.

Ayla from a year ago was battered and beaten.  The Ayla now is a raging fire that no one can beat or extinguish.  High Master Monk Ece bragged about Ayla’s accomplishment for a whole day and night.  Updating Evren on Ayla’s progress with a proud and fond smile as Evren listened, letting her Master talk from sunrise to sunrise.

Evren’s only fear was that Ayla would no longer recognize her, so she stood from afar, admiring the young girl as she beautifully and gracefully played her flute in the moonlight.  Hair wet, clothes soaked with water, barefeet and natural. This scene had burned itself into her memories as she waited for Ayla.
