By the time Echo and Kaiya got back from killing zombies, what they saw before them made Echo’s heart drop. Their borders were breached by the Avilla Pack and the Zilock Pack.
In her 6 months living in the Okio Pack, there were no signs of pack wars or disagreements. It was quiet and peaceful, every pack was just trying to survive through the zombie apocalypse. Why is it that today of all days that the Okio Pack was targeted?
Echo charged into the fight head on. She did not hesitate to swing her sword no matter which werewolf who attacked her. With the time she spent with the Okio Pack she had long learned to tell each wolf apart.
Knowing what she could do, she slowly incorporated her Natural Magic with her fighting when suddenly she was surrounded by several wolves. It was as if they didn’t want to hurt her, yet they still targeted her. No matter how many wolves she killed, more came after her, trying to herd her towards a the west side of the training field.
Echo didn’t do as they wanted and instead stood her ground and attack. Those that were foolish enough to think that she would run away from them or away from her pack was dreaming.
Echo immediately controlled the trees around them. The branches shook as they grew and reached down to wrap their branches around the werewolves. Once caught, the branches turned sharp and pierced the werewolves thick coat of fur and killed the wolves immediately.
Blood rained down on the wolves engaged in combat below. The sight of dead wolves in the trees caused the enemy wolves to try to run away, however they were soon caught and killed as well. Those that were fortunate enough to get away, they ran back to where they came from or to a clearing that had no trees around them.
The Okio Pack was winning as they gained back their territory. Kaiya soon found Echo and came beside Echo. They made their way towards The Den and saw that it had caught fire. Hiro was surrounded by a large group and fought like he was not bothered.
His killing was ruthless, unflinching and unyielding. For just one moment, Hiro’s eyes caught Echo and began to fight with vigor. It was as if he just wanted to confirm that she was alright.
Echo and Kaiya killed their way towards Hiro and Beta Tomo. They were still 40 yards apart and out numbered by 2:1.
Kaiya and Echo was quickly surrounded as well. Echo slowly began to get tired. Her human body could got keep up with the werewolf strength and stamina.
Soon Echo found herself get seperated from Kaiya and through the crowd, she could only hear Hiro and Kaiya’s loud growling. Echo had made her way towards the forest again, where the trees could watch her back from sneaking wolves who would attack her from behind. She had just reached the forest line when there was a loud shout that caused everyone to stop fighting.
“Stop!” A harsh voice shouted loudly over the fighting. “I have your Alphas, Okio Pack!”
Everyone stopped and looked over to the large mound of dead werewolves. On top of the pile stood seven werewolves. Two of them were Hiro and Kaiya. They were in their human form with a large metal collar around their necks and they were being held down by enemy werewolves. Their bodies were wounded and bleeding as they stared back at the aftermath of the war.
“Okio Pack! Make another move and I’ll kill your Alphas in front of you!” The same werewolf threatened. The werewolf was now in his human form. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He too had wounds on his body and seemed as if he was close to falling down on his feet. “Luna Echo, surrender yourself and we’ll let the Okio Pack and the Okio Alphas go.”
