Raine didn't wait for them to finish whatever they were doing in the back. She stood up and gathered her belongings and left the restaurant. She didn't want to be in the middle of Silver and Craig's messy relationship. She had enough on her plate and didn't want more than what she could chew.

The days passed by quickly, with her shadowing Monroe, while slowly getting more assignments passed on to her by Monroe. For her succubus soul, she went to the Pleasure Nightclub and sat alone in a VIP area. She would spend the night drinking while silently absorbing the sexual energy that was produced within the other VIP rooms.

Craig and Silver would join her most nights, then they would leave together to his lair.

Raine ensured that their friendship didn't move pass friendship for the both of them. She could see how jealous they got towards each other whenever Raine was with only one of them. Yet at the same time, they felt guilty towards Raine as if them being together was a betrayal towards Raine.

Their hot and cold treatment towards Raine made her confused so she maintained a neutral position between the two of them.

Raine was at work, reviewing a current project that was in it's creative stage when she received a call from Craig.

"Hey Addison. I was just wondering if you have any lunch plans?"

Raine looked at her watch and it was getting close to noon.

"I don't. Why? You want to treat me to lunch?"

"Yes." Craig said. "Are you available?"

"Sure."

"Great. I'll call you at noon and pick you up."

"Okay. See you then."

Raine hung up and tapped her phone for a moment before going back to work. Would Silver be jealous and mad that they were meeting together for lunch without her?

However, Raine knew she wasn't going to do anything with Craig, so she shouldn't feel guilty for meeting up with him without Silver.

Noon quickly arrived and when Raine received Craig's call that he was outside of her building, she gathered her belongings and left her office. After quickly informing her Monroe about her plans and she left with her security detail.

"Miss Addison, do you know which restaurant Mr. Leafheart will be taking you to?"

"I don't." Addison answered Luther. "Once I find out, I'll let you know."

Luther nodded his head then stepped back away from her, ensuring he was not too close or too far from Addison.

Craig stood outside of the company with his arms crossed. He was leaning against his luxury car with a smirk on his face. Raine walked towards him while the other employees stood by to watch the scene. She knew she would be the topic for gossip for the rest of the day.

Raine was soon stopped right in front of Craig when Phil came forward and blocked her way.

"Miss Evermore, I suggest you don't involve yourself with the likes of Mr. Leafheart." Phil warned. "With the constant public eye on you, there will be many people judging you for the company that you keep."

"Thank you, for the reminder. But I suggest you mind your own business. You are not my keeper. Excuse me." Raine said as she walked around Phil. Raine could see Craig quickly wipe off his frown and replace it with a smile.

"Addison." Craig said as he opened the door for her.

"Where are you taking me for lunch?"

"Chez Luis." Craig answered.

Raine quickly looked over at Luther and saw that he sent a text out. As Raine entered Craig's car, another SUV pulled up behind her so Luther and Max could follow Craig's car while Irving drove.

"They don't leave you alone, do they?" Craig said as he saw her look back to ensure that her security detail was following them.

"Well, when most of your family dies at the same time, we'll see how your Grandfather treats you then." Raine said as she settled into her seat.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to--"

"It's fine." Addison said as she pushed back her hair and looked over. "Sorry I came off so bitchy."

"You didn't. It was my fault to begin with." Craig quickly corrected the situation.

"Let's just start over, how about that?"

"Deal."

"I haven't spoken to you in a couple of days and wasn't able to check in on you at Pleasure. How have you been?"

"Oh, you know... the usual... stress from work and stress at home. It doesn't help that every move I make is being watched, analyzed and talked about."

"Sorry you have to go through all that by yourself."

"I have you and Silver by my side, so it's bearable sometimes." Addison said as she slightly smiled. "And speaking about Silver. How are you and her?"

"Let's not talk about her."

"Why not? If you and her don't solve whatever issue you have with each other, the little relationship you guys do have right now, will become more toxic." Addison told him. "And I don't want to be anywhere near you guys when that toxicity explodes. I have enough to worry about at the moment and I've already lost a lot of people in my life, I don't want to lose either of you."

"It's is not that simple with Silver." Craig confessed. "She's an addiction I can't get over. Sometimes I think she loves me, then there are times she hates me with all of her heart. She's not only like this with me, but with you as well. Then there are times, I feel as if she's jealous of you, and then there are times she feels so much guilt towards you. She's so confusing and complicated. And what drives me so crazy, is the fact that she refuses to speak to anyone about this. She refuses to talk and prefers to bottle everything up and when her feelings explodes, she brings up past grievances and blames me for everything. How am I supposed to argue about something I've already forgotten about!?!"

"I don't know what to say."

"We should have never crossed the friendship line when we were young." Craig confessed. "Then life wouldn't be so complicated."

"Well, you don't have to worry about me crossing that line with the both of you." Addison confessed.

"Why do you say that?"

"I don't think I'm ready to be in any kind of a relationship at the moment. I already have too much going on, with the business, my family and my deceased love. To add another relationship into my life, will be the end of my sanity.... or what little sanity I have left."

"What if you found someone reliable and who you really like? Would you give them a chance?"

"I'm still not over him. I don't think I'll ever be over him. I won't be ready to give anyone a chance anytime soon." Raine confessed.

"But you'll never know until it happens."

"If it does happen, he or she will have to be okay with being second in my heart."

"One day, when you're ready to talk about him, I would like to hear more about him." Criag confessed.
