POV Shawn

As soon as we get through the swinging doors at the airport, I see a huge group of people standing. I take a deep breath and prepare myself for what's to come. They look like they're fans, so they probably all want to be photographed. I'm afraid we can't leave this airport for a long time. And that's exactly what I want. I really missed Indy, I can't wait to her her again. Those past two weeks have been killing me. And don't get me wrong, I really love my fans, but t one honest I prefer to lie down on the couch with Indy and just cuddle. I want to massage her back, cuddle with Nathan, feel our little girl move and just be together again. That's actually all I want right now.

But when I take a few steps towards the exit, I notice that nobody is looking at me. They're all looking at someone else, I don't want to look very arrogant, but there must really be a special person if they don't look at me. Maybe Drake or Elvis Presley who has risen from the dead. I laugh softly within myself. Sometimes I really am an idiot. Indy's right.

Because of my own ideas I for curious, I also try to catch a glimpse of what's happening. As I walk towards the group of people, my phone rings. I pick it up quickly. It's my mother, but for some reason I keep looking at the group of people. There's something that attracts me. "Shawn, we're leaving. Indy's water just broke." I hear my father say. I pause for a moment to let his words sink in. Indy's giving birth. I'm going to be a father again.

Fuck, I'll be a father again.

Suddenly I start to walk faster and my mom follows me worriedly. I hear her ask what's the matter, but I can't answer. I've to go to Indy and something in me says that she's the center of this group of people. I also hear my father say something on the phone, but I don't remember. I just can't concentrate. I make my way through the crowd and see Indy standing there in a pool of water. Her eyes look directly into mine and a smile appears on her face.

My Indy. My wife. "Oh honey," I mutter to myself, "I'm so sorry."

My father is standing next to her, I see it in the corner of my eye, but I've no attention for him at all. Indy's the only one who now gets my attention. I push my phone into my father's hands and immediately put my hands on Indy's neck and press my lips on hers.

I feel her small hands fiddling at the back of my hair, but suddenly she pulls them back and grabs her belly. I'm looking at her in terror. I can't do anything for her. The woman of my life is in a lot of pain and I can't do anything about it, even though I want to. I want to take her pain away, but I can't. It's heartbreaking.

"Three minutes between the contractions, son," my dad says while hugging me, "you're going to be a dad again. We'll watch after Nathan, go get your wife to the hospital." My father's proud look at me makes me feel stronger than ever. But it also makes me realize that I must act now.

"Let's get you to the hospital, baby." I say with determination.

"Fuck! Shawn hurry up!" Indy screams while I speed towards the hospital. I grab her hand and try to keep her calm. "Shhh, it's okay Indy," I tell her, "just imagine you're sitting on a fluffy-"

"Shut up and drive already!" She snaps at me. I immediately stop talking and start focussing on getting her to the emergency room.

"You're doing great honey. In a couple of hours we'll be holding our baby, think about that ok?" I calmly say to her. She nods, but another contraction hits her as soon as I park the car. "Okay, look we're here. You got this baby. You're so strong."

I help her out of the car and register us at the reception. A man in doctor's clothing accompanies us to the room and says that a midwife should arrive at any time. We just have to be patient untill then.

Right, we have to be patience. Not something I'm very good at.
