POV Shawn

The sound of my alarm clock wakes me up. I hate that sound so, so, soooooo much. And especially now that I lie in my bed so nicely, with Indy in my arms.

Indy was here all night, just like the nights before. It's sometimes strange to wake up with her in my arms, because a few months ago that was only a distant dream for me.

But now everything's different, 'cause we're together in one bed again, and that in our house. She and our children live with me again. Our little family is complete again. And if I'm very honest, it's not yet. Secretly I hope for Indy to get pregnant again, but I can't just ask Indy to do that. I feel like she's been pregnant for the last two years.

For the first time in years I don't feel like going to the studio. The way Indy is lying against me, with her long brown hair spread over the pillow, wants to keep me here even longer. Unfortunately I've to meet Teddy, Mike and Scott in the studio in half an hour.

I struggle to get out of bed without waking Indy up. I gently place a kiss on her forehead and rub over it. I whisper softly that I love her and then tiptoe to the door so that I don't wake her. She's really the most beautiful young lady on this whole globe. She shares this first place with our beautiful daughter of course. I really can't choose between the two.

Once in the bathroom I put on my black jeans and throw my blue 'youth' sweater over my head. Normally I take hours to do my hair, but now I've to do it quickly because I don't have much time left.

I put on my shoes as quickly as I can. Before I go down the stairs, I stop by the babyroom. Nathan's sleeping on his stomach, he does this so many times, but Skylar is sleeping kinda strange. She sleeps on her side with her neck way too far back. I carefully put her back properly and pull her blanket over her small, fragile body. She's so cute.

As soon as she's sleeping well again, I'll leave the bedroom. Now that I've checked with the children, I can go to the studio. I'm a little late and I've already had multiple texts from Teddy. I texted her back that I'm on my way, so they should be a little patience.

I hurry to the studio where Teddy, Scot and Mike were already waiting for me. We greet each other with a hug and then I take a seat in my well-known chair. I've written so many songs on this chair.

I take a deep breath and put my hands together. "Okay guys, are you ready to write some new music?"
