He could hardly believe his eyes as they stared at the rare creature swimming majestically through the dark waters.
A whale, an actual whale. He'd thought them to have gone extinct after so many years of carelessness, but obviously at least one of them was still alive.
As he kept watch for a little while, he saw something peeking out from underneath the large animal. A tiny baby whale came swimming out from underneath its mother.
Crying tears as salty as his surroundings, he didn't quite know whether they were happy tears or sad tears.
