My second collection of microfiction, sometimes dealing with the mundane, but mostly dealing with the magical. Unlike the first collection, the stories in this one are based on inktober prompts.
She handed him his tea, not a single tremor in her hands betraying her nerves.
"Not too hot", he muttered under his breath. "Finally you're good for something."
She almost hissed aloud, only barely able to restrain the sound from coming out. Patience, she thought, patience.
As he raised the cup to his lips, she walked quietly across the room. Reaching for the doorknob to leave this damned as she was expected to, she was halted in her tracks as someone came bounding through the doors.
"Don't drink that, sire, that tea is poisoned!"
