A growl rose up in her throat. She was so, so hungry.
At least, some sort of deep hunger was the best way she could describe this deep, empty feeling inside of her chest and stomach. A deep hunger for power, to use it, to abuse it.
Yet she knew she had to refrain from doing so, or risk giving her location away to the powers that be. Then again, the price she had to pay was steep either way. Get caught and die, or suffer through pain and withering away.
She didn't know how much longer she'd be able to keep doing the latter.
