Some might confuse the forest witch for a druid, which would be their first and last mistake. Druids are priests of the old gods, while the forest witch answers to no god at all.
All she believed in was the teeming life around her, big or small, plant or animal. She never bent anything to her will like the druids did, instead she helped out the forest, and the forest might choose to aid her in return when she needed it the most.
It was a gentle relationship, but also a strong one, for the forest knew well enough that they had no protector quite like the forest witch.
