If this wasn't being caught between a rock and a hard place, then she didn't know what was.
On the one hand she could choose to give up her magic, the powers she'd known since birth and didn't know quite how to live without.
On the other hand she could choose to sacrifice her sisters' strength instead, essentially betraying the people closest to her.
She knew very well what the power coiled inside of her wanted her to do, as it kept calling out to her, pushing her to become a traitor.
Maybe she was wrong, maybe it would be so easy to just give in...
