It had felt like a jolt, that first moment that she had regained consciousness. The first thing she had seen was another person, grinning at her, and yelling exuberantly. She could still remember the words, "You're alive! You're actually alive!", screamed over and over again.
But by now, it felt like little more than a dream, as she shuffled her way between piles of debris. Her head was still filled with memories, but a lot of her thinking was spent on only one subject. Brains. She was just so damn hungry.
