For a very long time she had been so, so tired. For an equally as long time she had pushed herself through it, thinking herself weak. And she wanted to be strong so badly.
It was not until she realized that the strength she sought was already in her, that the veil of tiredness finally started to lift. The little parasite in her brain had somehow convinced her that she was not worthy, not capable, not enough, and it had gotten her to the point of exhaustion.
No more, she thought. From now on, she would love herself.
Only fair, she figured. She was the only one she could ever rely on, after all.
