Snow-white wisps of hair blew around her face as the icy winds howled. She slowly released the breath she'd been holding, looking this way and that. The sight before her was incredible: snow and ice covered the earth as far as the eye could see. And her witch eyes could see far indeed.
It had worked. The spell she had been working on for centuries had finally worked. No more spring, no more summer, no more autumn. Only bliss.
She went back into her cottage, sighing contentedly. Time to make some hot chocolate with marshmallows to celebrate.
A/N: I always wondered why characters who do something drastic like making winter eternal always did so for evil reasons. In this tiny story I tried to look at it from another angle: a witch who only does what she does because it makes her happy.
