Among witches, there were usually only two types of opinions on elemental magic: some viewed it as a starting point, a first step on the way to mastering greater magics. Others saw it as barbaric magic, something to be avoided altogether.
The fire witch didn't care too much about either of these groups. She did not care about the fancy words they used to express their fancy opinions, and she did not care about the magic theory underlying them.
All she cared about was this: fire looked pretty. And so she lit stuff on fire.
