Chapter 38

Levi's POV

"Fuck!" I cursed and threw the phone that hit the floor, causing it to break into pieces.

I'm angry, hell I'm fucking fuming.

"It was too late for us to call the publicist. The photo had already spread online" My secretary tells me and I grit my teeth so hard it would bleed.

It wasnt her fault. It was mine. I shouldn't have met with Jessica and let her manipulate me into drinking.

I'm a grown man. I should have thought about the consequences but I let myself get too drunk with her for the second time around.

Everytime I close my eyes, I see Ellie. Hindi nya sinasagot ang aking mga tawag at texts. And it fucks me up. I owe her an apology. I cant lie to her anymore. Hindi nya deserve ang mga nangyayaring ito.

I inhaled sharply, picturing the scene last night with Jessica. We were at a coffee shop cause I'm supposed to meet with a client but pinilit nitong sumama. And the next thing I knew was her trying to cuddle with me i
on purpose. She knew somehow someone would take a photo of us.

Fucking bitch.

She's asked so many favors in exchange of her not spilling about what happened that night between us. Hawak nito ang alas at wala akong magawa kundi sumunod rito.

I'm ashamed of myself for letting my ex girlfriend manipulate me.

"Fuck!! Call the publicist and offer him money. Give him whatever he wants and delete that god damn photo" utos ko sa aking assistant at tumango naman ito.

Ang sumunod kong tawagan ay si Pat. Sana naroon ang aking nobya sapagkat hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko kapag nalamang umalis ito.

"Pat, its me"

"Well, well.." Pat muttered in sarcasm. She's upset and I understand.

"I know. And I'm sorry. I was caught off guard. I need to talk to Ellie and explain it to her.." Pahayag ko rito.

"Sorry pero wala sya dito at hindi ko alam kung nasan sya"

"Pat--"

"You dont deserve my bestfriend.." She cuts me off and disconnected the phone.

"Tangina!" I punched the wall before grabbing my jacket and car keys and go look for Ellie myself.

Ellie's POV

"Okay ka lang?" Si Garette na umupo sa aking tabi at nagsindi ng sigarilyo.

Tumango ako at tumabi upang magkasya kami sa malaking bato habang nakatunghay sa buhay na syudad at kulay dilaw na ilaw na nakapalibot sa magandang senaryo.

Napakaganda ng view ngunit may hapding dulot iyon sa aking puso.

Gusto kong sumigaw at umiyak na tila walang pakialam sa aking paligid. Napaka sakit ng ginawa sa akin ni Levi at hindi ko ata alam kung kaya ko itong patawarin. At hindi ko rin sigurado kung hihilom pa ba ang sugat na inukit nito sa aking puso.

"Sa totoo lang Ellie, hindi magwowork out ang sainyo ni Sir. Magkaiba ang mundo nyo" Si Garette at may punto ito.

"Bakit nga ba hindi ako nakinig sa mga tao nung sinabi nila iyan?" Sambit ko.

"Kasi napuno ka ng pagmamahal kay Sir Levi. Nahirapan kang makita ang totoong nangyayari sa paligid mo" Komentong muli ni Garette at tama ito.

"Siguro nga. At siguro ito na ang tamang pagkakataong iyon na makakitang muli sa makapal na usok na bumabalot sa mundo ko"

"Lalim ah.. pero gets ko.. trust me.. base sa experience na rin.. nabulag ako sa sarili kong pagmamahal na nakalimutan kong mahalin ang sarili at makita ang realidad na taliwas sa nakikita tuwing kasama ko ang ex girlfriend ko.." Tinapon nito ang sigarilyo at saka lumagok sa bote ng beer.
