Hopes eyes were glued to a body that someone had evidently tried to bury under the porch. She had been joking when she mentioned that earlier but now she was horrified.
Who were Daltons parents really? What had happened whilst everyone else returned to the forest? Who's body was that?
Dalton placed a hand on her shoulder to try and slow her breathing as her panicking couldn't be good for the baby but he had no luck.
"What the devil is going on?" She asked absolutely terrified of the answer she was about to receive
"I don't know, all I know is that body wasn't there the last time I was in this house!"
"I'm not being funny but I don't think your parents were going to bring six year old you in and show you a dead body!" She yelled "Who the hell is it?"
"My uncle Will!" He gulped
Hopes jaw dropped, his parents were Cinderella and Prince Charming not murderers. She'd known his parents all of her life but not for one second of any of that time did she think they would be capable of this.
She knew Thomas could be cruel, lord knows she'd been on the receiving end of it enough, but Ashley? She didn't have it in her, she did everything her husband asked of her even when it meant going against her children but murder?
Then it dawned on Hope how Ashley had begged her not to marry Dalton the night before the wedding claiming she risked being eliminated and now she understood.
What if they were biding their time, waiting for her to pop out this baby and then burying her under the porch next to the infamous Will Scarlett?
The only reason they had laid off of her and Dalton recently was because of this baby, other than that there was never ending threats of cutting him off, forcing him to abdicate the throne there had even been threats made to Hopes family.
All they wanted was for the bloodline to continue considering Darling had taken Destiny out of line for the throne of her parents kingdom and in line for the throne of Arendelle this child would take the throne next.
"We're not going home!" Hope yelled, her head spinning with realisations of what his parents wanted.
"What?"
"We. Aren't. Going. Home!"
"Oh yes we are!" He growled storming out of the house, she followed him out practically steaming with anger and managed to grab his wrist to pull him back
"You want to go home? Fine you go home but at the end of this three weeks I won't be coming back!"
"Hope, stop being stupid! Of course your coming home, that's where you belong! I respected your choice to remain a princess instead of a Queen when I really didn't want to but this? I won't even entertain this!" He yelled spit flying out of his mouth as he waved his arms around
"Don't! I don't need you too! In fact this is the last week of our marriage! We're done!" She screamed as she turned on her heel and ran away from the house
"Hope! Wait!" He called after he but she kept running until she was out of sight.
As much as she wanted to it would've been far to obvious for her to go to the docks to calm down but she needed to go somewhere nobody would think to look for her.
She ran deep into the forest when she came across what appeared to be an abandoned hut. With tears in her eyes she wandered over and locked herself inside.
Hope fell asleep in the privacy of the hut only to be awoken a few hours later by the sound of her family yelling her name. She rolled her eyes hoping if she stayed quiet and didn't answer them they'd go away and lucky enough they did.
A few more hours passed and there was a knock at the door, Hope looked at it in confusion but cautiously went to open it.
Luckily enough it wasn't anyone in her family (which shocked her as as far as she was aware they were the only people in town) but then when she realised who stood before her she immediately cursed Hades' name.
How dare he trick her into believing he'd removed her curse when he had only hidden the fact she still had it.
"'Ello Princess!" He smiled but Hope turned her nose up at him before slamming the crumbling door in his face
"Go away!" She whispered "Your dead!"
"I can assure you I'm nothing of the sort!"
For some strange reason she felt she could trust him and so she opened the door to reveal a very alive Will Scarlett.
He pushed his way past her and sat down in the chair she had been sitting in, she looked over at him realising he looked completely different to how he had hours before when she had seen his rotting corpse in the floor of Daltons childhood home.
He looked to be alive and well but how could that be? She realised the only way to see if he was really dead she would have to try and summon someone she knew was definitely dead.
So she called for Neal and then for Liam but neither of them appeared to her
"So your not dead?" She sighed
"Don't sound too disappointed love!" He laughed
"But your corpse?"
"Oh that was me! I needed Dalton to think I was dead!"
"Your kidding?"
"Afraid not! I did have a bit of help,"
"From who? Everyone left StoryBrooke for good after Brooke's curse!"
"Well you see not everyone did, me and my wife well we stayed!" He smiled "Come on she needs to see you!"
Hope had no idea why but she felt she could trust him and so she followed him through the woods and to an old wood cabin.
He unlocked the door and in the armchair by the fire sat Daltons aunt Anastasia or as she more commonly known the red queen of wonderland.
"You found her then?" She smiled wrapping Hope in her arms, at first she was confused as Dalton only ever described her as a cruel woman with no love for anyone or anything but from what she could see Ana was pretty in love with Will.
She had Hope sit down opposite her where she revealed a devious plan that was guaranteed to save her life, should she agree to it.
