As they arrived back at their home they made their way into the ballroom that Snow had decorated. She had string lights and vines from the ceiling and had centrepieces representing moments of Emma and Killian's lives together sitting on the tables.
As Hope made her way into the ballroom she noticed her scar was being stared at she huffed rolled her eyes and made her way over to a table where she saw the rest of the family had gathered.
For the first time since she left Hope felt happy. Sure she had enjoyed her time on the sea she had missed home tremendous amounts.
"So are you going to tell us how you got the scar?" Lucy smiled as she stared at Hope with excitement in her eyes
"Not tonight kid!" Lucy, and everyone else, looked at her in disappointment. Ever since they had noticed it all they wanted to do was ask why she had it? How it had gotten there? Who had given it to her? What had she done to them?
But Hope and her parents had made it clear she didn't want to discuss the matter at their wedding. Luckily enough Hope was saved when Dalton came over to cash in the dance she owed him.
"You look gorgeous!" He smirked as Hope blushed
"Thank you! You don't look to bad yourself!" She giggled. She knew that her family were surrounding and watching them, just as they did to Henry when he had met Jacinda.
"So your king now!" Hope laughed almost as if she was teasing him
"Yeah... I love it!" He smiled but Hope knew he didn't
"Go on tell me what are you missing?"
"You!"
"Dalton come on," Hope sighed as she pulled him out into the gardens. She sat herself on her swing as he lent himself up against the tree. He looked at Hope and couldn't help but smile. She looked so beautiful, her dress was perfectly folded around the swing, her hair had been tied up into a loose ponytail and she had done her makeup so subtly you'd have to really be concentrating on her face to notice she was wearing any at all.
"Hope I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Shut up!" She laughed as she gently began to swing herself "look I have to be honest I want you too but-"
"There is no but Hope! Stop looking for one!" He yelled
"There is! The but is that you need a queen for your people! Not me granted I'm a princess but I'm hardly your typical fairytale princess am I?" She laughed
"Hope your sat in a ballgown on a swing I don't think it gets anymore fairytale princess than that dear!" He laughed. He watched as Hope blushed just as she did every time he called he that.
"I know but you know how I was on my year out! If your people found out it'd ruin you!"
"Hope you killed a few people who wronged you and put your family's kingdom in danger!"
"Seriously that's how you see it?" Hope cried and ask Dalton wipes away her tears he began to sing

And I won't let you go
Now you know
I've been crazy for you all this time
I've kept it close
Always hoping
With a heart on fire

As he was singing he noticed Hope had stopped crying and instead was smiling at him
"Hey! Look at me! There's no need to cry about it I promise you! I spoke with your father and I asked if I could take you out whilst they were gone... so Hope Jones would you like to go on a date with me?"
"Of course I will you dork!" She sniffed as she tripped herself over on the bottom of her dress.
The two made their way back ballroom hand in hand where Hope was stolen from Dalton by Charming.
"My beautiful squishy has returned!" He beamed as Hope awkwardly laughed at her slightly tipsy grandfather "how were your travels sweetheart?"
"Amazing! I did everything I wanted!" She smiled
"Brilliant!" He smiled as he handed her over to Henry
"Get ready your about to be span around more times than your dad drinks rum in a day!" He laughed as he slowly waltzed his little sister around the room.
She had missed hers and Henry's relationship nobody understood her and the pressure she felt quite like he did. Even since being small she had always felt she was supposed to do something amazing and how could she not? Her mother was the saviour, her father had cheated death more times than villains had tried to take over StoryBrooke, her grandparents had the truest love any of the realms had ever seen, her godmother was the embodiment of redemption and her brother was the author. How could anyone feel anything but pressure from all of that?
After a few minutes Henry swirled Hope into Robin who twirled her into Daniel who quickly handed her over to her father.
Ever since Hope had been born a new side of Killian had been exposed. A softer more gentle side, sure the family had seen glimpses of that side when he and Emma would watch Neal, when he was with Emma and when she was pregnant but when Hope arrived there was no containing the love he had for his daughter.
"We missed you lass!" He smiled
"I missed you guys too! And hey what's with the setting me up?" She laughed
"I thought you liked him?" He smiled
"No... yes... I think I do!" She stuttered
"Your just like your bloody mother!" He laughed
"Is that a bad thing?" Emma laughed as she swirled passed with Charming. Killian shook his head and laughed.
Hope rested her head in her fathers chest as Snow snapped a photo from the side of the dance floor. Emma glanced over to see Hope almost asleep on Killian and was thrown back 17 years.
It had been Emma's first day back at work since she'd had  Hope and she was eager to get back to her. She half expected Killian to be tearing his hair out.
Hope wasn't exactly an easy baby at the best of times. She desired attention at all hours of the day, she was most definitely Killian's daughter.
When Emma approached the house she heard nothing, no crying, no screaming, no shushing, no lullabies. Nothing.
She quietly opened the door and saw Killian stood in their front room slowly swaying side to side with Hope curled up on his chest holding onto his hook
"Hey love!" He smiled
"Hey there!" She smiled as she kicked off her shoes
"She's been a dream!" He laughed
"Really? Someone's obviously a daddy's girl aren't they?" Emma laughed as she stroked Hopes cheek.
Present day
Charming looked at Emma and followed her eye line to find Killian and Hope slowly swaying side to side. He detected a slight hint of jealously in Emma's eyes
"She loves you both you know?" He comforted
"She's always been a daddy's girl! But she loves us both I know that!" Emma quickly defended
"Yes she has and so have you!" Snow chuckled as they sat down beside her
"What?" Emma laughed slightly confused
"Emma, you and your father are closer than we are! I was closer to my father than my mother it runs in the family!" She smiled.
They all watched as Killian signalled for help they couldn't help but laugh. Hope had fallen asleep stood up
"Your going to have to carry her up to bed!" Emma laughed as she held her head on Killian's shoulder
"Aye!" He smiled
