It had been three days, and yet everytime Scott would touch Mitch hed flinch back in fear of hurting him.

Mitch just looked at him. "You're not gonna hurt me."

"I already have Mitch."

"Baby, Leigh's been working with you, and you've gotten better. So much better."

Scott huffed and looked at his stomach. "What if I hurt her?" He asked, rubbing his stomach.

The boy grabbed Scott's hands and kissed them. "You won't."

Scott looked at him. "I love you."

Mitch blushed at the words. He still wasn't used to hearing them.

"I love you, too." He leaned forward and gave Scott a kiss.

"You know, just a few months, and we're gonna be parents." Scott said, cradling his belly. She was active today.

Mitch smiled as his eyes settled on Scott's stomach.

Just a few months and he was gonna have his baby girl.

Just a few...

His smile fell and he up and left the room.

Scott sat there, confused. "Mitch?" He asked, getting up and following.

Mitch booked it down the stairs and made it outside before he doubled over, out of breath.

"Ha!" He laughed, hysterical. "Just a few months." He muttered to himself, standing and pacing as his hands shook. "Just a few months and you'll have your baby. You're not even seventeen! You're not even seventeen, and you're about to be a parent, whilst being a demigod. Nothing wrong with that, right? Wrong! Oh, and your child is supposed to save the world. No pressure or anything. FUCK!"

He busted out laughing and he fell to the ground, holding his stomach that was starting to hurt from laughing so hard. He had tears he was laughing that hard.

Scott, who had been stopped by Leigh, was even more confused than he was five minutes ago.

"What did you say?" Leigh asked, handing Kirstie the tea she'd been waiting for.

Scott scratched his head. "All I said was that we were having a baby soon."

"Ah." Leigh nodded. "There it is."

"Huh?"

"He's scared. The reality of how close you are to your due date set it."

"He's literally known about this for six months."

"And a lots happened in that six months. He hasn't had the time to process it all the way, and now its finally sinking in how close he is to becoming a father. Just give him some time."

"Well, he's hysterical." Scott said, pointing to the Son of Hades, who was doubled over with laughter.

"Give him a moment. He'll be fine."

Kirstie came over and gave Scott a side hug. "Avi's been doing the same thing. They'll be okay."

"I heard that." Avi grumbled.

Kirstoe giggled and snuggled Scott.

Mitch was able to compose himself enough that he slowly stopped laughing and just laid there looking at the sky.

"What do I do?" He asked, half expecting a response.

"Mitch?" He heard.

With a groan, he rolled his eyes and sat up, looking around.

Avi had been sent to retrieve him. "Hey, we're going out. All of us."

Mitch scoffed. "Where?" He asked, dreading the answer.

"I have no idea, but Leigh said to get ready so. Get ready."

Mitch shot a flame at him. But Avi shut the door before it hit him.

"Goddamnit." Mitch said and picked himself up from the ground and brushed off his clothes. "Fucking perfect."

When he met up with everybody, he avoided eye contact with Scott and snuggled into Kirsties side.

"Hi." He said, quietly.

"Hey." She replied, kissing his head. "You okay?"

Mitch shot a glance at Scott and then sighed. "I'll be fine. As soon as I get over myself."

Kirstie chuckled. "You will. I believe in you."

Mitch had never heard that either. "You do?"

"Of course. You're my best friend."

His eyes widened. "Really?"

Kirstie smiled and nodded. "Only if that's alright with you."

"Wha-?" He sniffled. "Yeah, that's okay with me." He said, tears falling as he smiled. "I've never had a best friend...before." he smiled at her.

She grabbed his hands and kissed them. "Well, it's a good thing I'm here then, isn't it?"

Mitch gave a wide, bright smile as he nodded.

"Thank you." He said, wiping his face again.

Kirstie smiled again. "I sense pride."

Leigh chuckled from across the room. "I see progess."

Leigh figured it would be at least a little beneficial for the group to get out of the house.

She had taken them to the park, hoping the fresh air would help a little, which it seemed to. Everyone was a little more relaxed.

That is, until someone was running and crashed into Avi.

"Yo, what the fuck?!" Avi said from the ground.

"Ahh!" The person said, scurrying back. "I'm sorry!" He said, panting.

Kevin came forward and helped him to his feet. This kid couldn't have been more then seventeen. He had brown eyes, and tanner skin, and looked to be some kind of Asian.

"You're okay." Kevin said, examining the person's face that was full of fear. "What's your name?"

The Asian looked around. "Uh..." he trailed off.

Kevin looked at Leigh. "Let's go somewhere less crowded."

The group nodded and followed Leigh into one of the alleyways.

"Alright, what's going on? Who are you?" She asked the Asian.

"Uh, well. I'm Mark." He said, looked around cautiously.

Scott chimed in, getting to the point. "Why were you running?"

Mark looked around the corner. "I'm being followed. That means that I need to leave, because I'm not putting any of you in danger." He started to walk off, only to be stopped by Scott.

"You're not going anywhere. We can help you. You'll be safer with us."

Mark looked at Scott, as he looked down and registered just how tall Scott really was. His eyes didn't miss the roundness that was Scott's stomach, either.

"Not in public, Grassi." Mitch muttered to himself. He didn't like the look Mark just gave Scott. He didn't like it in the slightest.

"Well," Mitch started. "I say we get back to the house and figure this out. Too many people."

Leigh nodded. "He's right. You'll be safe if you come back with us. We can talk more."

Mark gave a hesitant nod as he looked around. The small kid with the orange hair was giving him a look that made him uncomfortable.

"Alright." Mitch said, walking up to Scott and kissing him before grabbing his hand and walking back towards the cars.

Kirstie watched as they walked and looked back to the group, who just shrugged.
