Scott made his way back to his house, which thankfully wasn't that far from Kirstie's.

"Hey, dad?" He called out, once he entered the door.

He thought nothing of it when he didn't get an answer. It was still fairly early and his dad worked late and slept in.

He checked his dads room and saw the man asleep on the bed.

He went to hir room to grab some clothes, but was stopped as his phone went off.

"What's up?" Scott answered.

"Hurry up and pack your shit. I just got attacked by something that knew what I was. I have no doubt the rest of us are being watched. Don't ask me any questions right now and just do as I ask. Get that van and come back to Kirstie's place."

"Okay?"

"Just do it!" Avi shouted, then hung up.

So now, not only did they have to save the world, but now they were getting attacked?

Lovely.

He scrambled around and quickly through things in his duffel bag, left his dad a note, since he clearly didn't have the time to try and explain it, and grabbed the keys to the van.

It was one of those old Volkswagen vans. Like the ones that stoners would always use.

He was just getting in the driver seat when his phone went off again.

"What now?" He said, rubbing his face.

"Kirstie and Mitch were attacked." Kevin said.

"What? By who?"

"I don't know. Kirstie got scratched but I healed her. The woman pretty much tried to drown Mitch, and Avi was having some sort of power surge or what ever, and poor Mitch is just a mess." Kevin explained.

"Where are you?"

"Were at Mitch's house. Were headed out to the road now, you should be able to see us, its right on the freeway."

Scott nodded, then remembered that Kevin could see him. "Okay. Is everyone alright, at least?"

"Little shaken up, but we'll be okay."

Scott had pulled out of the driveway and was already on the road before Kevin spoke again.

"I'm worried about Mitch and Avi." Kevin said quietly.

"How so?"

"Mitch has bruises on his arms from Avi."

"What?" Scott growled. For some reason, that pissed him off.

"Avi had, like, a moment and was holding Mitch's arms with an iron grip. You know how small Mitch is."

"Im gonna kill him." Scott said.

"You can't and you know that. Just try to keep your cool when you see him. Im not haply about it either, but we have to just get past it."

Scott sighed. "I make absolutely no promises. But ill do my best."

"That's all you need to do. Oh, hey, I think I see you."

Scott looked ahead and sure enough, there was a group of four on the side of the road. Scott hung up the phone and pulled over.

Kevin hopped in the front seat and the other three climbed into the back. The first thing Scott saw was the bruising around Mitch's biceps. He swallowed his anger and ignored it.
