Mitch was terrified.
Something about Scott... Mitch just knew he needed to protect him.
Why?
No clue.
He just had a feeling.
After they had tossed him in the backseat, he watched until he couldn't as they drove away from his friends. After that, a black burlap sack was placed over his head, so he had no idea where he was going.
He could hear others speaking, but the rushing sound in his ears was inhibiting him from understanding what was being said.
They drove for who knows how long before they stopped.
Mitch was yanked from the backseat and held in place.
"This is way to short to be who I asked for." A voice said.
"There was a bit of a...complication. But, I think you'll like what I have to tell you." Mitch recognized that voice as Matt's.
Who the hell was this other guy?
"Then tell me."
"We'll put this one away, and then we'll talk." Matt said.
He grabbed Mitch on his bicep and dragged him.
"What are you gonna do to me?" Mitch asked.
"Well, honestly, that's all up to T. He's the one that caught wind of how special blondie supposedly is."
"What are you even talking about?"
"You seem to be the only one that doesn't know." Matt shrugged. "Oh, well. Guess you'll just have to figure it out."
"No, tell me."
"There would be no fun in that."
That urge to protect Scott came back, even though Scott was nowhere near him. "If you hurt him..."
"What?" Matt chuckled. "What is the little twink boy gonna do?"
"I'll light your ass on fire, that's what I'll do."
"Ooo, feisty. I can see why everyone likes you so much."
"Pffffft. Likes me? You're fuckin' funny." Mitch couldn't help but laugh.
Matt looked lost. "The way everyone was looking at you as we left told me that they like you. That they care."
"Hm." Was all Mitch said. He was done with this conversation. He was more concerned with why they wanted Scott.
He hadn't realized that his restraints were taken off and he was in the middle of an empty room. He turned around and stared at Matt.
"What are you doing?"
"Isolation. Should push you to where we want you. You are a very powerful demigod. I wanna see what your powers can do."
"You realize I have only the one ability right?"
"No demigod has just one ability. All your friends have more than one. Why would you be any different?"
"I think any others that I had would've shown up by now." Mitch sassed.
"Some powers take longer to develope and control. But, if put in intense situations, some of those abilities may show up quicker."
"So you're gonna lock me in a big room all alone." Mitch chuckled. "Oh, I'm so scared." He said sarcastically.
"Go ahead and act like you don't care. Well, know all about what goes on in your head. You'll crack."
Mitch just looked at him with a straight face. He actually hated being alone for long periods of time. He would get in his head.
He would think about his life and everything has dealt with and it just didn't end well.
So yeah, he was terrified.
"What do you want to know?" He said calmly.
"I know everything I need to know. I just wanna watch you and see how long you last."
I love y'all so much.
Honestly.
