Kirstie, Avi, and Kevin all went out.
This left Scott and Mitch alone. Not that either of them cared, they needed to talk anyway.
Currently, Scott was laying on his back and Mitch had his head on Scotts chest and was tracing little shapes on the skin of Scott's stomach.
"What are you thinking about?" Scott asked.
Mitch shrugged. "Little bit of everything."
Scott chuckled and brought his hand up to play with Mitch's orange dark brown hair.
"What's on your mind...right now?"
"Why are we talking?"
"That's kinda rude." Scott chuckled.
Mitch giggled. "No, I mean, I'm trying to lay here peacefully and trace your stomach muscles while thinking of our daughter. Talking makes that less peaceful, and diverts the attention away from the human growing inside you."
"I love that she's already the center of your world."
"She's my little girl. Of course she is." Mitch laughed.
He propped himself up with his elbow and bringing his face closer to Scott's stomach.
"Daddy loves you, baby girl." He said, then leaned down to gingerly kiss the blond's belly.
Scott laughed. "That tickles." He said, making Mitch do it again. "I am not responsible for any injuries."
Mitch smiled and sat up. "Have you wrapped your head around it? This whole thing? Like, any of it?" He looked to his lap and played with his fingernails.
Scott sat up. "I've accepted the whole demigod thing. I mean, its been over a month."
Mitch chuckled. "God. Where do you think we'd be if we never went to that party? Like any of us? Or at least me. I mean, Im kinda the reason we've all come together. If Avi hadn't thrown me against that rock, we might not be here right now."
Scott looked at him. "I wouldn't trade what going on for anything." He grabbed Mitch's hand and placed it against his stomach. "What we have, right now, is what we need to worry about. You, me, and our daughter. Its all I care about. Keeping you two safe. Though, in all honesty, I have no idea how I would do that." He chuckled.
Mitch smiled. "I'm sorry I called you useless." He said, genuinely meaning it. "You're not. I feel like of you weren't around to calm Kirstie and I down when we needed it, we would all be a lot worse off."
Scott make a face. "Well, in combat, there is literally nothing I can do. Im kinda useless there. My ability is more passive than aggressive."
"Well, still. I shouldn't have said it. So, I'm sorry."
Scott chuckled. "Its okay. All is forgiven."
Mitch chuckled and looked down to Scott's stomach. "Is it bad that I kinda feel a sense of pride, when I think about the fact that I got you pregnant?"
Scott shook his head. "There is absolutely nothing wrong with that." He smiled.
Mitch smiled and looked fondly at his unborn child. He stuck his hand out gently rubbed Scott's stomach. "My little girl." He sighed.
Scott put his hand on top of Mitch's and they stayed there for a while.
Minutes passed before Scott cleared his throat. "Uh, Mitch?"
Being deep in thought about his child, Mitch didn't hear him.
"Mitch!" Scott said, more firmly.
Mitch jumped and pulled his hand back to him as if suddenly he was burned by something. "Im sorry." He said quickly.
Scott looked at him for a second, then grabbed his hand. "Its okay. You didn't do anything wrong." He put Mitch's hand against his stomach.
Mitch ripped his hand away. Scott was gonna hate him.
"Mitch..." Scott said softly, reaching for the boy.
Mitch sobbed as he jumped off the bed. "Don't touch me!"
Scott slowly got up. "Mitch, what's wrong?"
Mitch help his arm up to tell Scott to stay where he was. He shook his head as he fought back the tears. "I fucked up." He said with a shaky voice.
Mitch sounded terrified, and Scott had never been more worried. "What do you mean? What happened? What did you do?"
"You're gonna hate me." Mitch sobbed as he put his arm down. He knew how this was ending. Scott would hate him.
"Mitch, you're scaring me. What did you do?" Scott moved.
Mitch shot out his arm again, and held Scott in place. "You won't want wanna touch me after I tell you this, so you might as well stay there." Mitch said, wiping his face.
His heart shattered when he said it.
"I slept with Avi."
Mitch hugged himself tightly and looked at the ground. "I'm sorry."
"When?" Scott said after a while.
"Three days ago." Mitch whimpered, hugging himself tighter.
"So, the day you came back?"
Mitch nodded.
"After you threw yourself at me, thankful that I was okay?"
Mitch nodded again.
"After you found out I was pregnant?"
Mitch nodded and sobbed.
"With your child?"
"Yes!" Mitch sobbed, wanting to die. He didn't even know what happened. He just all the sudden felt so guilty, and he knew he couldn't keep it from Scott, that he'd slept with Avi. He hated himself so much right now.
Scott had no idea what he was feeling. But he knew he was pissed.
He got dressed and put on his shoes, all without speaking to Mitch.
"Where are you going?"
"For a run."
Mitch sniffled as he wiped his face. "Please be careful." He begged.
Scott just glared.
"Scott, I'm serious." He said firmly.
Scott walked out the door, making sure to slam it.
He felt betrayed, honestly, but he didn't know if he should be.
Mitch and him weren't together.
But they were having a kid together.
He didn't know if he had the right to be mad, and if he did, who would he be mad at? Mitch? Avi? Both?
Mitch felt sick. His stomach lurched and he ran, but only making in to the sink. The little food that was in his system, wasn't there anymore.
Once he finished, he cleaned the sink and rinsed his mouth and went and sat on the bed. He composed himself and pulled out his phone, and dialed the one person he trusted.
"Hello?"
"Kirstie..."
Im sorrrryyyyyyyyyy.
I broke my little heart💔💔💔
But its okay, cuz all will be fixed...
Eventually😉
Love y'all
