Mitch was having a bad day.

He was snappy, and he was being short with everyone.

Except Scott. His whole demeanor would change when he was talking to Scott.

No one knew why, but Avi was about fed up with it.

Yes, Scott was mouthy, but Mitch? Mitch was way worse.

This morning was no exception.

"Hey, Mitch?" Leigh asked, grabbing the plates to dish up breakfast. "Can you set the table?"

"Can you suck my dick?" He rubbed his face tiredly.

"She was just asking you a question." Avi said.

"I don't recall asking for your opinion." Mitch said. He had dark circles around his eyes when he looked at Avi.

Avi just shook his head and began setting the table.

Mitch could see the tension in Avi's body, and the look on his face, irritated Mitch to no end.

"Got something you wanna say?" Mitch said.

Avi shook his head. "Nope. I'm good." He said, then tried to walk away.

Mitch raised a hand and held him in place.

"I asked you a question."

Avi growled. "And I gave you an answer."

Scott walked in, rubbing his belly with one hand and his eyes with the other.

"What's happening?" He asked, his voice tired.

Mitch smiled and went over to him. "Nothing, baby. Its okay." He said standing on his tiptoes and cupping Scott's face before standing on his tiptoes and kissing him. "Did you sleep okay?"

Scott pouted and whined as he shook his head. "Back hurts." He mumbled.

"Aww." Mitch said lovingly. "How's about we do some stretches later, yeah?"

Scott nodded and wrapped his arms around Mitch, stuffing his nose into Mitch's neck.

Avi shook his head at this interaction as he watched Mitch lean down and kiss Scott's stomach. He chuckled and turned back to Leigh.

"What's his deal?" Avi asked.

Leigh shrugged. "Readjustment? I don't know. Even I wasn't this bad."

Avi sighed. "Well, I've had it up to here with his bullshit. Like, why is he so snappy with all of us?"

Leigh cleared her throat. "I can't tell you, I have no idea."

"You're no help."

Leigh looked at him.

"You know what I mean." He rolled his eyes and went off to find Kirstie.

Poor girl had been miserable. Avi was massaging her back and ankles almost all the time, which he didn't mind in the slightest.

He saw her curled up on the couch, sleeping. Her back was really hurting her last night and she couldn't sleep on that bed.

Avi knelt down and wiped the tears that were on her face. "You're okay." He said, rubbing her back. Kirstie sighed at the feeling. "You're okay."

Kirstie smiled at him and reached her hand out.

Avi grabbed her and kissed it. "Good morning, beautiful." He smiled.

Kirstie chuckled "Morning." She said, pushing herself up so she was sitting.
