"I think I'm pregnant..."
Kirstie just looked at him. "Pregnant?" She said, barely above a whisper. "Honey, how hard did you hit your head?"
"Kirstie, I'm serious." He looked at her with tears in his eyes. He sat back on the grass and brought his knees up.
"How? How could that even happen? I mean, you're a guy."
"Apparently the laws of nature don't apply to demigods."
"So does that mean...that Mitch...is the father?" She asked slowly, then watch Scott nod as tears fell down his face. "Okay." She said. She grabbed Scott's hands and kissed them. "We're gonna figure this out, alright? Don't freak yourself out. If you really are pregnant, then you can't be stressing yourself out."
He sniffled and nodded as he felt himself be lifted to his feet. When he straightened out, he hissed in pain. He'd forgotten about the wound on his abdomen.
"Scott?" Kirstie said, looking him over.
Her eyes stopped on the red stain on the front of his white shirt. She quickly lifted his shirt and her eyes widened. "When did this happen?" She asked, looking around for something to press to it to stop the bleeding. She resulted in just taking off her shirt.
"Probably when we wrecked-ow!"
"Let me get Kevin."
"Please don't say anything. At least not until I know for sure, please." He begged.
She nodded. "I won't say anything about that, but now, you really need to start taking care of yourself."
Scott nodded and went to stretch, until he remembered his shoulder was burned. "Fuck." He said, taking off his shirt and walking over to Kevin.
Kevin had just finished healing Avi. When he saw Scott, he jumped to his feet. "What happened?"
"Uh, crash, being held at knifepoint, and fireball." Scott said, pointing to each wound. "But I'm alright."
Kirstie punched him on his good arm and gave him a pointed look.
"Ow. Okay, fine. I need help."
"We knew that." Avi grumbled. Scott just ignored him. "What, I save your life, and I can't even get a snappy comeback?"
"Why did you save my life? You hate me." Scott pointed out.
Avi shrugged, his shoulder still a little stiff. "I just had this...feeling about you. Like I needed to protect you."
"You gonna start calling me special too?"
"I don't get why everyone keeps calling you that. What did you do? What makes you so special?"
"If I knew, I would tell you." He looked at Kirstie, not turning his body so Kevin could do his thing. She shook her head.
"Its not working." Kevin said. He had both hands on Scott's abdomen, but nothing was happening.
"What do you mean 'its not working'?" Avi asked, standing up.
"I mean, that I can feel my power and everything, but its like its dancing right off of him. I don-"
He was cut off when a small flash of light, accompanied by a gold sparkle, flashed in the wound. When the light was gone, so was the wound. Everyone watched as each wound, one by one, healed itself.
"Okay, what the fuck?" Avi asked, not taking his eyes off of Scott's torso. "You can self heal now?"
"I didn't do that." Scott turned to Kirstie. She looked scared, but that was probably from her feeling his fear. He looked back to Kevin and Avi. He took a breath. "You guys are gonna think I'm crazy."
