Chapter 107

"Will you marry me?"

Scott entire body was rigid. He was only breathing because it was a movement the body did on it's own.

He stared at the ring Mitch was holding.

The black steel band was decorated with little pink diamonds along the sides. In the center was a larger pink diamond in the center on a raised base.

"I love you with everything I can." Mitch smiled. "I had a little help with this from everyone. I...want you to know that I will never hurt you. I know past experiences give you room for doubt but...now, I know I wasn't entirely myself. I want to show you I can do better. Be better. Be a good father to our daughter, and a good husband to the love of my life." He gave scott a soft look.

Scott was a wreck, trying to contain himself.

Mitch continued. "You are the mother of my child. You and Neryssa are the reason I wake up every morning. You have given me a reason to live. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and only you. So, could you make me the happiest I've ever been, and take me as your husband?"

Scott had no words. Tears fell from his eyes as he frantically nodded his head.

"Yes!" He said with a smile, more tears falling. "Yes, I will, Mitch."

Mitchs lios stretched with a big, happy smile as he put the ring on Scott's finger and pushed himself up so he was on two feet. Then. Scott grabbed his face and pulled him in, kissing him.

Everything in the world stopped and it was just the two of them. Their lips moving in sync, their breath hot, and hands gripping.

Mitch was getting dizzy, but not from lack of oxygen of whatever, but because he finally did it, and the feeling he got when ever him and Scott kissed was amplifying his previous nerves.

They pulled their lips apart, but touched their foreheads and they fought their breath.

"I know I ran before." Scott started with a smile, his thumbs running along Mitchs cheekbones. "I was just scared. Everything with Demetri, then the breastfeeding...I just wasnt feeling like myself."

"And that's perfectly okay, My Love." Mitch smiled, looking up. "You are perfect in my eyes. I love everything about you, and will continue to until I no longer exist."

"I love you, too, Mitchell." Scott said as he gently cupped Mitchs face.

Mitch gave a small gasp and smiled at his name. "You've never said my full name before."

Scott returned his smile. "Was it to much?"

"No." The brunet shook his head. "No, I love it."

The couple shared a giggle as Kirstie walked up to them with Neryssa. She looked Like shed been crying.

"You okay?" Scott asked as he grabbed his daughter.

Kirstie sniffled as she nodded and wiped her face.

"I'm fine. That was just probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and Oh my god, I love you guys so much and I am so proud of the both of you!" She let out a sob and threw herself around the boys, being careful of the baby.

Scott chuckled and rubbed his hand along her back. "I love you, too, Kit-Kat." He said, then kissed her head.

"Thank you." Mitch whispered in her ear. "For everything." He gave her a squeeze and  a kiss on the cheek before he pulled back.

She wiped her face one more time before smiling again.

"So." She asked, crossing her arms. "How does it feel to be engaged???"

Scott blushed and looked over at his fiance. "Its pretty spectacular."

It was Mitchs turn to blush as Scott leaned down and gave Mitch a deep kiss.

Neryssa didnt remain silent during this. She'd had enough of that. She made a noise that, to Scott, sounded almost endearing.

"Yeah?" Mitch turned to his daughter, who squealed again, this time with a smile on her face.

"Oh, look at that." Kirstie snorted. "A child that's not offended by affection. What a concept." She shook her head as her laughter subsided.

Mitch chuckled and turned to Scott. "I'll elaborate on the ring later, because theirs a whole thing behind it, and I want us to be alone for that."

"Oh?" Scott raised a teasing eyebrow.

"I'm implying exactly what you think I am."

Scott was gonna reply, but Kirstie cut him off.

"There is a baby, if this conversation continues, I will get her ear plugs." She said seriously.

"She cant understand what I'm saying." Mitch defended.

Neryssa squealed in disagreement.

"Hey, you're supposed to be on my side." Mitch chuckled at his baby as he tickled her little tummy. This earned him a squeal and her eyes flashed.

Mitch teared up at the sight.

"Scott, did you see that?"

"No, what?" He asked, looking at his baby.

"Her eyes...they flashed. It was beautiful." The tears were freely running down Mitchs face as he came forward and kissed the baby's cheek. "You're gorgeous, Baby Girl." He kissed her forehead, earning another squeal.

He looked back up at Scott with a loving expression as he wiped his cheeks. "The brown patch in her eye flashed the same color orange that mine do." He smiled. "The blue flashed a bright pink."

Scott gave a soft gasp and looked at his daughter, bringing her up to cradle her against his chest.

"It was super quick, and I only saw it 'cause I was looking at her. I woulda missed it if I blinked." Mitch shook his head in disbelief.

"Well." Kirstie smiled, coming forward a bit. "Lucky for y'all, I got a picture of the exact moment her eyes changed." She gave a proud smile, and waited for the hugs she knew she was about to get.

The boys smiled and did indeed give her a tight squeeze.

"We love you, Kit." Mitch smiled, leaning to Scott's embrace as they pulled apart.

She sniffled and wiped her face. "I love you guys, too."

"Hey, I'm, do you think you could watch Neryssa for a little bit?"

She raised an eyebrow in question.

"Yknow, the thing I was implying earlier?"

Kirstie made a face of disgust and came forward to save the little baby.

"Let's go find you those ear plugs, Pretty Girl."

Neryssa gave a squeal when Kirstie picked her up, and settled calmly on the girls chest, content.

"I'll see yall...whenever." she nodded, then walked off.

Mitch chuckled and turned to Scott. "We'll pick up the mess later." He smiled.

Then pulled Scott in for a deep kiss.
