Avi drove the entire way to Wichita. He didn't speak to anyone, he just focused on the road.

He didn't even understand why he was upset. So Scott and Mitch slept together. Not a big deal, yet Avi felt like he'd been lied to by his best friend. That's how upset he was.

Scott didn't feel any better, even though he had eaten.

Mitch was passed out on the seat.

Kirstie was practicing her summoning a water ball and making it vanish.

Kevin was reading (No surprise there.)

Everyone was doing their own thing until Avi pulled into the motel, grabbed a stack of money, and went to book a room. All without saying a word.

Kirstie got out first and held out a hand to help Scott, who looked miserable.

"Eating didn't help, did it?" She gave him a sad look.

He shook his head and took a deep breath. "Not really. But I'll be okay."

"Are you sure?" She asked. "You don't look okay." She pointed out.

Scott nodded and pulled her in for a hug. "You're so sweet. I'll be fine, Kit-Kat. Thank you."

She smiled and wrapped his arms around his waist. She didn't think her grip was that tight until she heard him sharply inhale.

"I'm sorry." She said quickly, reacting her arms.

"Its alright, hun. Stomach just hurts, that's all." He smiled.

"Well, still. I'm sorry." She patted his stomach before turning to see Avi walking back.

"I got two rooms. I don't care who I share with as long as its not you or Mitch." He said to Scott.

Scott nodded and grabbed one of the keys. "I don't think I should be the one to wake him up." Scott said, nodding towards Mitch.

"You're the one that put him to sleep." Avi mumbled.

Scott bit his tongue and ignored him.

"I'll wake him." Kevin said. "Since he doesn't really have a problem with me, at the moment." He stepped forward before he hesitated. "Actually, I'm just gonna carry him and let him sleep. I've heard him at night, he doesn't sleep well." He explain as he stepped forward and gathered the sleeping boy into his arms and carrying him into the motel room and putting him on a bed.

"He looks so at ease." Kirstie observed. "He looks his age. Honestly," She looked to scott and Kevin. "I feel like we all forget how young he really is. And for him to have gone through what he has, its heartbreaking." She looked at him.

She grabbed the blanket and pulled it over him after she took off his shoes.

"I really think we all need to cut him a break." She continued. "We don't know really anything except what he's told us. He could be destroying himself mentally, and we would never know it because he never says anything." She looked at the other two with wide eyes.

They both just nodded, knowing she made a valid point.

Once the figured out who would be sleeping In the room with Avi, which was Kevin, they decided to get sone food and wake Mitch up, against Kevin's better judgement, though he knew Mitch needed to eat.

Mitch sat in the corner and pucked at his food. He didn't even know what it was, nor did he care enough to find out. He took a final bite and tossed it to the side in disgust. Then he grabbed his hoodie, a key card, and walked out. He needed some air.
