Everyone was in their own areas of the library. Well, everyone except for Mitch. Hed snapped again so he went on a walk, telling them not to wait up.

Scott had been contemplating trying to talk to Mitch. He just wasnt sure if he'd be able to keep a calm and level tone with Mitch. He was still hurt.

Scott sighed as he flipped through the pages with one hand and held his stomach with the other. He was worried about Mitch, in all honesty. If Matt stuck him with a needle, there's no way it could've been something good.

He laid his head down of the table and groaned, earning a loud "Shhhhh" from the librarian. Scott just rolled his eyes.

"I'm not finding anything." He said to his friends.

"Me neither." Kirstie said.

Kevin rolled his eyes and came forward.

"Because you aren't looking in the right places." He set his book down on the table,  the pages open to what he was pretty sure was what they were looking for.

"Hell Hound blood?" Avi asked.

Kevin nodded. "Its supposed to 'bring out your demons' so to speak. We all know how much Mitch has been struggling. If this is what he was stuck with, we have a problem. Mitch has a problem. The blood of a Hell Hound supresses your good side, and brings out your naturally darker personality traits."

Kirstie looked with wide eyes. "Are we gonna lose him?"

Kevin gave her a sad look. "Possibly." He said quietly.

Kirstie looked down at her book and didn't look back up.

"Is there a way to bring him back?" Avi asked.

Kevin shook his head. "There's no record of a cure."

Scott just sat there.he didn't know what to say. If he did speak, he would probably break down.

"So what do we do?" Avi asked, frustrated with the whole situation.

"I'm not sure there's anything we can do." Kevin told him. "There is no known way to reverse it."

Kirstie stared at her book. The words and stuff were starting to jumble together anyway, so she slammed her book shut and stormed off to put it away.

~~~~~~
Mitch was sitting there on his bed, playing with a fire ball, when the door opened very suddenly and he jumped and dropped the ball on the floor. He shrieked and jumped up to put it out with his feet.
Once it was out he loed at everyone with wide eyes. "Have you idiots ever heard of knocking?"
Kirstie came forward and latched herself onto him.
He just stood there. He didn't hug her back. He didn't move.
Eventually, she pulled back and went into the bathroom.
Then everyone looked at him.
"What?" He asked calmly
The only one that spoke was Scott, who had come up to him.
"I'm sorry." He said softly.
Mitch looked at him. "For what?"
"Ignoring you."
"Oh." Was all Mitch said.
"Oh?"
Mitch shrugged. He just really wasnt into conversating at the moment.
He nodded and sat down.
"That's it?" Scott asked, turning to Mitch.
"Is what it?"
"You've been all about trying to talk to me and get back onto my good side, and now that I'm trying to reach out to you...you don't seem to care."
Mitch nodded again. "You wait till something happens to me, to actually speak to me."
Scott was taken back. "I just want to apologize."
Mitch stood up. "Why? You didn't do anything wrong!"
"No, I didn't. And yet, I am then one apologizing."
"No one fucking asked you to!" Mitch yelled. What was he doing?
Kevin and Avi took this opportunity to walk out the door.
Scott looked at him. "Are you serious?"
"Do I look like I'm kidding?"
"Wow, Mitch. Are you just completely gone? Is that what this is?"
Mitch just looked at him.
"What happened to the Mitch that was all about the well being of our child? The one that was praying that I was okay when you were with Matt?"
"That Mitch...has had a lot happen to him since then."
"So, you just don't care? About me, about us, about this baby?"
"Of course I care, I'm just tired of how I've been treated since I got back from Matt the first time."
"You brought all of it on yourself the moment you decided to fuck Avi."
Mitch chuckled. "Why is that what you're so upset about? We aren't even together!"
"We're having a child together."
"So? That baby is the only thing linking us together. We aren't in a relationship! We aren't boyfriends! We are the parents to that child." He pointed to Scott's stomach.
"Yeah, our child. Why cant you see that?"
"Do you even hear what I'm saying?! I'm not saying that she's just my kid, or just your kid. My point is, is that the whole reason your upset in the first place is because Avi wasn't you!"
"I'm fucking upset because ever since you've been a completely different person than the Mitch that I first met."
"What a surprise." Mitch rolled his eyes.
Scott nodded and walked out the door without a word.
Mitch watched him leave. The tidal wave of emotions had been hit with rocked him.
What did he just do? Scott wanted to talk to him, and Mitch just...blew him off
Now he just felt cold and mean. He nodded. "Okay." He said.
"You seem overly calm." Avi said.
Mitch glared at him. "How so?"
"I dont know, you just seem to...okay with what just happened."
Mitch smiled. "You really don't need to worry about it. Your bitch is in the bathroom. Why don't you go join her?"
Avi surged forward. "Watch yourself."
Mitch looked Avi dead in the eye. "Or what?"
Avi didn't respond.
"That's what I thought." He looked over at his jacket and willed it to come to him. "I'm leaving. Don't count on me coming back."
Then he was gone.
