"Save the world?" Kirstie asked. "We're just kids."

"You five are the children of the gods. You all have extraordinary powers that I'm sure you've come across by now. Kevin has healing, which is why you were able to heal Mitchell's body. Avriel has strength, which is why he threw Mitchell against that rock."

"That was an accident." Avi said.

"You almost killed me!" Mitch shrieked.

"How many times to I have to say I'm sorry?!"

"That doesn't cut it-"

"ENOUGH!" Zeus bellowed, loud enough to shame the room, throwing the quintet off balance. "Now, back to what I was saying. Kirstin has the ability to control water, which just so happens to be one of Mitchell's weaknesses. Mitchell can control fire, which you have all learned by now."

Hades chuckled in amusement.

"Shut it." Zeus snarled.

"What about me?" Scott said.

"You, my sweet boy." Aphrodite said, coming forward and cupping Scott's face, and smiling fondly. "You have many talents. All of them shall grow with time as you gain more control over them. For your first one, you have been gifted with charmspeak."

"What is that?"

"Its a sort of...persuasion, so to speak."

"Oh." He said. That didn't seem very exciting.

"Don't fret, child. It's more exciting than it sounds, I promise." She rubbed his cheekbone with her thumb before stepping backwards.

"Now." Zeus said. "You're mission is to stop the apocalypse, basically."

Kirstie's jaw dropped. "Might I repeat, we are just kids."

"Extraordinary kids."

"Whatev-"

"What is it you want us to do?" Mitch said, interrupting Kirstie.

"My own son has been corrupted with power and plans to take over the world and overthrow the Gods."

"This sounds like some Percy Jackson shit." Avi mumbled.

He was ignored. "You five are meant for great things." Zeus continued. Mitch rolled his eyes. "Whether you believe it or not. You five were created for a reason."

"Okay." Mitch started. "The others I get. But why me? I mean, everyone here is either smart, or strong, or caring, or whatever. And me? I'm literally nothing compared to them. I'm the small little gay boy that everyone hates." He shot a glare at Avi. "I'm always at the brunt of everyone's jokes, or the target of their bullying. No one talks to me and everyone hates me. I'm a nobody. I'm practically invisible, unless its Avi calling me a faggot." He practically spit out that last part.

Everyone fell silent. None of them knew Mitch felt like that, but they did know it barely scratched the surface.

"Mitchell." Hades said. "You are the son of one of the most powerful gods, aside from Zeus and Poseidon. You have extraordinary gifts and are so much more than you realize. I see a lot of your mother in you actually."

Mitch angrily snorted. "Oh, thanks. Because that is exactly what I want to hear." He shook his head. "Do you know what my mother has put me through? Continuously? I'd show you the bruises, but Kevin healed them after Avi threw me."

"I'm sorry your mother treated you like that-"

"Treats. Its not past tense. My mother hates me!"
