Kevin came up with a small smile.

He liked leigh. He would admit it, at least to himself. She was beautiful. She had beautiful blue eyes, and long dark hair that framed her face perfectly.

Focus, Kevin. He told himself.

Leigh gave a smile when he walked up.

"Okay, so what are your abilities?"

"Um, I can heal, and I have telepathy."

"So you can read minds?"

"Mhmm."

She smiled and crossed her arms. "Prove it." She challenged. "What am I thinking of?"

Kevin looked at her, then closed his eyes. "You dog, Charles, who died three years ago." He said confidently. "He's buried under that tree over there." He nodded his head in the direction of the tree.

Leigh gave a impressed laugh. "That was...amazing. you got everything right."

"I can tell you what breed he was to."

"I don't doubt that." She smiled. "Okay, now, how much control do you have over it."

"I'm usually off in my own world, especially recently, so I've gotten pretty good at controlling it. I can basically turn it on and off at this point."

"Good. Now, when it comes to your healing...?"

"I don't have to use it much, and I can't use it on Scott at all."

"Why?" She based, then answered her own question. "The baby."

"Shes like a block to everyone's powers, except for Mitchs, as far as I can tell."

"Huh." She said with a nod. "That's interesting. Any idea why?"

Kevin shook his head. "That is among the hundred other questions we have."

Leigh nodded. "Well, we need to test your healing, so." She pulled out her pocket knife and held it to her arm. "You're gonna heal me."

"Uh, wait. You're gonna...cut...yourself?"

"Fastest way to test it right?" She gave a small smile before pushing down and dragging the sharp edge agaisnt her skin.

Kevin, ironically, felt kinda sick.

She held out her arm and looked at him. "Come on. If you used it before, this should be fine."

"It's fine I just...I've never seen someone do that before."

She gave him a sympathetic smile. "Its okay." She said, putting a tender hand on his shoulder. "Focus. Imagine the wound stitching itself back together."

Kevin gently clamped his hand around the cut on her arm and did what she said.

For a second, nothing happened, until he looked up and the two of them made eye contact. Then he focused on wanting her to be healed and felt a rush of energy run through him and to his hand.

He quickly pulled away. "Whoa." He said. Its never felt like that before.

Leigh looked down and saw her arm was healed.

"See?" She said, holding her arm up. "Perfectly fine." She smiled.

Kevin smiled in return. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. Kevin, you are a vital part of this group. Each of you have a part in this, and everything has happened the way it has for a reason."

"Yeah, and that's why I'm so confused. Like, why did Mitch have to turn evil? Why did Scott have to almost die? What have they done to anyone?"

"Kevin, I can't answer these questions for you."

"Yeah." He sighed. "I just want everything to be okay again, like before we met Matt. Everyone was finally starting together along."

Leigh gave a sad smile. "Everything will work out."

"Yeah, but when? I mean, according to the gods, Scott's baby, and Kirstie's baby, are supposed to defeat Matt. But that's gonna take years."

"Kevin, look at me." Leigh said, putting her hands on his shoulders. "As long as we all stick together and look our for one another, nothing will happen. We will all be safe." She looked up at his dark brown eyes and smiled. "You've got this." She said.

She got on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek.

"Go get Avi for me would you?" She asked him sweetly.

Kevin smiled and nodded. Before he walked off, though, he grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips to kiss it.

"This is probably weird, but...I think you're beautiful." He said sheepishly. He wasn't good at this.

Leigh blushed. "Thank you." She smiled.

He walked off proud of himself. He'd never done something like that. He was always the more closed off one.

As he walked over, he caught Scott looking at Mitch. Not in and angry or distasteful way, just a normal look, like he was thinking.

"Av." Kevin said, gaining the attention of his friend.

Avi looked at him with a glare. "I'm warm."

"She wants you." Kevin told him, pointing to Leigh.

"Well, she can suck a toe, because I'm warm."

Kirstie tavern a giggle, as her high hadn't worn off yet. "Just go, silly. Put on your jacket, and then you wont be cold."

"Kit, you are wearing my jacket." He pointed out.

"Oh." She laughed. "Well, then take it."

"But then you'll be cold."

"Nah, I'll cuddle with Mitch. He's very warm."

Avi gave a chuckle. "fine, whatever."

Kirstie gave a cute little giggle, and began taking off Avi's jacket.

The second she did, Mitch was beside her, gathering her into him.

Avi watched the smile on her face as she curled up and snuggled into Mitch.

"That was a lot of movement. I'm kinda spinning." She laughed.

Mitch held her tight and gave Avi a nod, telling him she was okay.

"Alright." Avi said. "I'll be back." He nodded and walked off in Leigh's direction.
