The trio didn't go back to sleep. None of them could, so they just waited for Kevin and Avi to wake up.

Kevin was the first one awake. Before anything even happened he was hearing an almost evil sounding voice in his head.

He shook his head, trying to get the noise to go away. When it didn't, he just got up and went to the bathroom.

He noticed the voice becoming louder and more understandable as he got close to Mitch.

He stopped and looked at Mitch at the same time the voice stopped.

Mitch looked up at him slowly. "Do you need something?"

Kevin just looked at him for a minute.

"Are you okay?"

Mitch rolled his eyes. "Will everyone stop fucking asking me if I'm okay? I'm fine!" He stood up and flared out his arms and spun in a circle to show that there was nothing wrong. "See? Fine. Not a scratch on me. Now can you all just leave me alone?"

Everyone looked at him after that. Even Avi, who had been woken up by Mitchs yelling.

Mitch chuckled and shook his head. "I'm going for a walk, and I swear, if anyone comes after me, you will get burned." He started walking towards the door.

"Mitch." Kirstie said.

"WHAT?!" Mitch yelled, turning around.

"What happened this morning?"

"Nothing! For fucks sake."

"Well, obviously something did. You have been a completely different person since you got back."

Mitch snorted. "Maybe, it's because I don't want to talk to you." He said slowly.

"Do not talk to me like I'm a child."

"Why? Because you think you solved everything by fucking Avi? Newsflash! Nothing has changed."

"Except for you obviously."

Mitch laughed. "Seriously?"

"YES, Mitch. You've been off since the whole thing between you and Scott, and I get why, but this morning your being cold, and short, and a fucking dick. So what fucking happened?!"

"Nothing!"

"If you fucking say 'nothing' one more time, I'm drowning you. What. Happened?!"

"I got stuck with a needle, alright?!" He shrieked, causing something to fly across the room. "No, I don't know, who or what it was, so don't ask. Now, I'm gonna go for a walk. I'll be back later." He walked out and slammed the door shut.

Kirstie turned to everyone. "We need to find out what he was stuck with."

"Theres no way it was just some random person." Kevin said. "Remember Mitch escaped. I bet you it was either Matt or one of his guys."

Avi nodded. "That's one half. Now what was in that needle? That's what we need to worry about."

Kevin nodded. "Theres a library across town. I'm sure there's something there we can find."

They all nodded and got dressed.

Mitch was furious.

Now everyone was worried about him.

All because Kirstie couldn't just leave it alone.

"Fucking bitch." Mitch said aloud. He hated her.

He hated her because she forced him to talk when he didn't want to.

He wandered off into the trees and kicked several of them, hurting his foot each time he did, but he didn't care. He kept doing it until he was limping noticeably.

He heard a twig snap and he turned around and searched with his eyes.

He knew better than to think it was nothing. Something was definitely near him.

He kept his guard up as he walked. What threw him off was when he tripped on something and fell forward.

Then something was on top of him.

"Hey, buddy." That something said.

Mitch rolled his eyes. "Can you stop sneaking up on me and actually try to take me down in a fair fight?"

The person on top of him turned him around. Mitch saw the same blond guy from earlier.

"I didn't get the chance to introduce myself this morning. I'm Alexander, but you can call me Xan."

"Or." Mitch said. "You can get the fuck off me." Mitch flicked his eyes up and Xan went flying to the side.

Mitch got up, dusted himself off and shrugged.

"Huh." He said. "Not the direction I was going for, but I'll take it." He came over to Xan and held a fireball close to his face.

"Why do you guys want me so fucking bad?" He asked. When Xan didn't answer, mitch grabbed a chunk of the blinds hair and yanked. "Answer me."

"You would be a powerful adversary. The others are keeping you from reaching your full potential. You can become who your supposed to be."

"Oh, and let me guess, you know who I'm supposed to be?"

Xan grunted when Mitchs grip tightened.

"You're very powerful. Whether you know it or not, you are. With us, you can figure that out for yourself."

Mitch thought about this for barely a second before he teleported back to the motel parking lot.

He was so confused now.

What's so confusing about it? The voice in Mitchs head said.

Go away.

Nope, you're stuck with me.

I'll get rid of you, just like I did last time.

And I'll just keep coming back.

Leave me alone.

I don't want to. And I don't do things I don't wanna do.

What do you want to do?

The voice didn't respond, which confused Mitch even more.

He shook the feeling he had and went back into the hotel room, avoiding eye contact with everyone except Scott, who looked like he was about to cry.

He looked away, ashamed for some reason, and threw himself on his bed and got under the blanket, pulling it over his head and leaving it there.

He could practically feel all four pairs of eyes on him. He wanted to cry, so he silently did, letting a single tear escape before wiping his face and composing himself.

What was happening to him?
