Total days stuck on Wall Maria: four.

Amelia's initial conviction was, as one could guess, much easer said than done. Of course, she meant it; she would recover and find Levi.

The the question as to how remained.

Amelia frequently studied the destruction in the interior of the wall and within its outlier Shiganshina District, trying to piece together any other apertures in her particularly lacking memory- like what could have conceivably caused such destruction to begin with.

She also continued her new morning routine, thinking that if she kept with the custom, perhaps she would be able to retain the peculiar gap in her mind. Maybe something hidden within her brain would expose itself, graciously granting her the answer she so desperately desired. However, with broken ODM gear, there wasn't much she could do alone.

Still, she refused to gift defeat the satisfaction of her surrender.

The brunette weakly sighed, gently blinking as she stared at the wide, open area above- just as she'd executed every afternoon. To be fair, there wasn't much for her to do; it had been no secret that she was struggling and that no optimistic end was in sight.

Crystal blue with soft clouds moving at a painfully slow pace, as they'd performed each morning prior. The rays of the sun caused bright blemishes to appear in her blurred vision, but she unusually comforted from the scene.

She relished the glow it provided, enjoying the blanket of heat that encompassed her temporarily feeble frame. Her tan was blanched, due to a lack of nutrition- almost reverting to its lighter hue for the duration of her stay in the underground. Nonetheless, the illumination permitted freckles to peak, a vast array littering over her cheeks and button nose.

It'll be freezing tonight, Amelia bluntly deduced, a faint breeze causing her short chocolate curls to dance in the wind, if only I had my scarf. The notion made her abdomen stir as she reminisced on the past, something she undoubtably knew for fact; that Levi would always be there to keep her warm, even on the coldest of evenings. Further, that he would guide her path, in the darkest of skies.
