Your finger ran down the outline of the letter you'd received a few days ago, your finger tracing against each letter or number that had been perfectly traced against the white, porcelain sheet.

Onyankopon sighed against your shoulder, his finger pointing at particular words and phrases before he would mutter some sort of statement, trying to persuade you to go for the job you were so quick to decline.

"Y/N.." Pieck softly spoke, "It's a wonderful opportunity."

Onyankopon nodded in agreement, "It truly is: you'd be practically payed to go explore the outside world."

You lowered your head in shame, running your fingers across the crooks of your brow, "No-.. No. I'll be gone for two years; I'm not leaving Levi for a job."

"Then he can come with you!"

Onyankopon's lips pressed together at Pieck's exclamation, "In the state that he's in right now?"

You nodded as Pieck's fingers gently slipped around yours, tracing your palm and thumb with a small frown, "He's right. Levi needs to be here, and wherever he goes, I go. I would never expect him to go with me, anyway. He'd be leaving everything behind."

"That's true."

Knock Knock,

You all came to an uncomfortable halt as someone knocked on the door, Reiner strolling in with a small note inbetween his finger tips.

He handed it to you casually, muttering a short, "Levi wants to speak to you." As a chill ran down your spine.

You swallowed.

Your eyes looked to Pieck and Onyankopon with pure worry, them both sharing your anxiety over what he needed to say that couldn't wait until your regular visit that same afternoon.

You grabbed your coat as Onyankopon did the same, before telling you that he'd walk you to the hospital.

The walk was quiet, neither of you speaking too much as nothing but the thought of what Levi needed to say to you stayed penetrated in your brain.

You felt an anxiety take over you, yet you were unsure on why.

Onyankopon gave you a gentle pat on the shoulder before gesturing for you to go inside, telling you that he'd be waiting outside for you to give you both some needed privacy.

You pressed your fingers to the numbers against your fiancé's hospital door.

"Three.. Zero.. Nine." You muttered to yourself as your eyes peered through the small window.

You swallowed anxiously, pushing the white door open as your eyes met with his.

Levi was dressed in his usual ettire - he'd asked you to bring him his usual clothes so that he'd no longer have to use the thin hospital gown he'd been corrupted into wearing since he'd arrived.

He swallowed as he saw you, adjusting his body in his wheelchair with a glum loom pressed against his face.

"Y/N.." He whispered your name before his eyebrows twitched together, "I suppose you must've gotten my message?"

"Mhm."

"Close the door behind you on your way in."

"Right."

The door closed shut behind you as you awkwardly sat infront of him, watching as his hands clasped around the wheels of his chair. He pushed himself a few feet away from you, his bleak eyes avoiding yours at all costs - you wondered why.

You feared why.

"So.. what'd you want to talk to me about?"

His movements were slow and lethargic, devoid of any emotions towards you.

You felt confused; he looked at you like a stranger - he talked to you like he didn't know you..

His slender hand gestured out, "You should probably sit down."

You did as you were told, beginning to feel physically sick with anxiety and dread, like you could choke up at any minute. Your hands traced the sides of the wooden chair, gripping hold of the planks as if scared that you would fall off.

"Would you like a tea or anythin-?"

"Reiner told me that you needed to speak with me." Your voice spoke out, watching his silver eyes widen, "I-.. Tell me please, it's making me worry."

"I'll.. make this quick for you, Y/N." Levi glared up to the ceiling with his lips parted into a short frown, "Thirteen months ago.. I met you." Your fiancé paused, "And you were a risk to us, Paradis: both if you left, and if you decided to side with your brothers beliefs."

"Yeah, I know. I was told of this when I first arrived."

He frowned upon your interrupting him, his menacing eyes glaring through you entirely as you swallowed.

"Don't interrupt me." His cold voice ordered as the hairs on the back of your neck arose, "This is important. I don't want our to misunderstand me."

"I-.. Okay. I won't; carry on, Levi."

He sighed slowly through his nose, his arms crossing over his muscular chest, "So.. that same night that you slept in my bedroom, Hange told me that we needed to think of a plan to prevent the risk of you joining another side."

"I don't understand what you're-?"

"Y/N." His voice was cold as he spoke: he suddenly seemed unfamiliar like a stranger, "I'm not in love with you."
