A Few Days Later,

Levi clicked his fingers infront of your dazed face, snapping you back into reality as your eyes widened.

"Oi, Oi, Oi.." He complained, still snapping his fingers as you raised an eyebrow, "I thought I told you to pay attention this time when I explained to you how to use the gear, didn't I?"

"I am paying attention."

He scoffed, "Oh yeah? Repeat what I just said, then."

You clicked your tongue, giving him an inquisitive look, "Why don't you repeat it?"

"Eugh.. Mmph." Levi rolled his eyes, moving himself infront of you as he guided your fingers back to your ODM gear, "I'll put it simply, alright?"

"Thankyou.."

"This makes the gear start, and you switch it a second time to retract your gear." He looked up at you, "Don't do it too quickly, otherwise it'll cause the gear to lose more gas. Try to space it out by at least two seconds, alright?"

"Yeah.. I get it."

He carried on explaining to you, going over to every thing to do and every thing that you shouldn't do.

"Now then," He placed a hand against your back, running his fingers down your spine, "Care to tell me what to do?"

You nodded; you explained in each detail what he'd told you to do as he nodded along with every syllable that left your lips, muttering a 'mhm' or 'that's right' as you guided him through each step.

He slapped you at the bottom of your back before taking a step back, smirking as you rolled your eyes.
"Go on then," He gestured for you to use it, taking yet another step back, "I trust that you'll use it right. I'll stay here and watch."

You swallowed hard, nodding as you laced your fingers around the switches, before running forward, jumping into the air and following his previous commands, quickly feeling yourself glide through the air, two metal lines swerving you up towards the trees.

You held your gear tightly, clenching your jaw as you aimed your body towards a tall branch on a tree, feeling yourself slightly tumble before landing, your legs wobbling.

You shockedly looked down towards Levi, your arms outstretched for balance as you watched him sprint towards the branch you were stood on, just stood around 20 feet below you.

He gave you a wave as you excitedly waved back.

"Levi!" You called, quickly stepping up and down as you watched him warmly smile, "Levi! I did it! I actually landed! And steered! And managed to not fall!"

Levi raised an eyebrow, laughing quietly at your overjoy as you swung both arms into the air.
He cupped both hands around his mouth so that you could hear him, "Heh.. that's my girl!" He yelled before you jumped down from the branch, using the gear to steadily land on the floor a meter away from him.

You wobbled on your feet once again, an adrenaline coursing through your body as you gave him a warm grin.

His expression softened as walked closer, placing his hands on your hips to help you steady yourself, your hands slipping around his shoulders.

He let out a short sigh, "You're a quick learner.."

"I told you so."

"I've gotta admit though, I'll miss carrying you around during missions," He frowned pettily as you laughed under your breath, holding you closer to him as his hands tightened around your hips, "It was fun."

You pushed him lightly, "You kept threatening to drop me.. and pretending to drop me."

He rolled his eyes sarcastically, feeling your hands travel to his shoulders, "It's not like I actually let you fall: I always catch you, don't I?"

You tilted your head, giving him a condescending look before feeling a small chuckle slip from your lips.

Bonus Scene;

Levi stood on the other side of the room, rubber gloves tight on his hands and a mask covering his lips.

He concentratedly squinted his eyes, dusting off each corner of wallpaper, humming gently as you cleaned out drawers a few meters behind.

Your eyes lit up with curiosity as you reached for the back of his bedside drawer, pulling out a piece of paper in his handwriting.

You read it out loud, grabbing his attention instantly, "Will you be my girlfriend?" You called out as his silver eyes widened, realising what sheet you had clasped in between your fingertips, "Who was this for? And when?"

You watched a shocked frown approach his soft lips, quickly hopping down from the chair he was stood on as he pulled his mask off, tossing his gloves to the side.

He knelt beside you, humming a short laugh with nostalgic eyes.

You cocked your head, feeling as though you recognised the sheet but having no idea where from.

"Holy shit-.. I forgot I kept this." He muttered to himself before his gaze finally averted back up to you: you watched as he awkwardly pulled is collar away from his neck, "Mmph-.."

"Care to explain?" You jokingly frowned, punching him lightly in the shoulder as his rare yet contagious smile grew, "It's not for some other woman you're seeing, is it?"

He nodded along, placing his hand against your face as he jokingly squished your cheek, "Well, it depends which one you're talking about. There's many."
You laughed, resting your head on his shoulder as he kissed your forehead.

His hand slipped in yours, still kissing your forehead softly, "Can you remember that time when I first helped you with your writing? And you could barely write your name with our alphabet?"

"Yeah - why?"

He held your hand a little tighter, "Well, I wrote you a note and teased you when you couldn't understand what it said. Can you remember that?"

"Wait-!"

He dreamily held back into your hand, tracing patterns into your skin with the tips of his fingers, "Yep-.. heh. I suppose it's a little embarrassing now, but you already know now that I had feelings for you. I decided to write you a note, and whether you reacted positively or negatively to it would decide if I would ask you on a date or not." He clicked his tongue, "So when you got annoyed at me for 'keeping secrets', I just took it as a sign from the universe that I should at least wait before I attempted to let you know that I had a romantic interest in you."

"And just how was I supposed to react positively to that note? I thought it was meant to say something insulting!"

Levi stayed quiet for a few moments, before giving you an awkward shrug, easing back into your touch, "Hm-.. I guess I didn't think it through too well. But still, you can only blame yourself for the fact that I didn't ask you to be my girlfriend sooner."
