Weeks Later ;Smoke slowly filled your lungs as you inhaled the fumes of your cigarette, pursing the paper in between your lips.
You breathed in.
The bitter-scented smoke filled your lungs, drawing patterns in the air as you slowly blew it out over the balcony you stood on - watching as it was taken with the wind.
You lowered your head into your hands, feeling a throbbing sensation in return as your eyes stung - you blamed it on the wind.
"Hey, Y/N?" You heard a voice call, "You ready?"
You turned your shoulder, "Hange.."
The Commander nodded in return, "Come on." They simply ordered, their guilty eyes shifting away as they flicked their wrist, gesturing for you to follow.
You did as you were told without a seconds more thought, scared that you would think too much into the situation at hand.
Each negative thought that attempted to cross you: even the slightest hint of your brothers, and you would pinch yourself to distract your mind. However, after a while, pinching yourself didn't do a thing.
You would kill your brothers today.
You would fight against them; and try to harness their powers.
'This situation is fucked.' You thought before pinching yourself once more to not show weakness in front of the hundreds of Scouts that watched as Reiner helped you board the air craft.
Many soldiers stared at you, both sympathetic and terrified.
Rumours spread like wild-fire about you, but that wasn't surprising.
Many Scouts believed that you were a traitor, just like your brothers: just like your mother and father. They said it ran in the family, and that you would be next to rebel. However, thankfully the majority of people sympathised with you.
You loosened your collar, unbuttoning your first couple of buttons to get some fresh air.
More Scouts boarded as you heard the engine begin to rumble beneath your body, signalling that it was time to leave.
The more minutes that passed you,
the closer you were to the fight.
Your E/C eyes tightly closed as you felt a gentle hand slip into yours, finally opening your eyes as you realised the people sat beside you. All members of Marley. All Warriors.
You tightened your fingers around Pieck's, resting your head on her shoulder as you felt a weak, forced, small laugh slip out from your mouth.
"Hey," You nudged the young girl sat on your other side, "Gabi?"Her eyes slowly locked onto yours with a blank stare.
"Yes, Miss Y/N?"
You lowered your head, offering her a smile, "Can you remember when we were sat to watch the ceremony a year ago?" You began as your voice slightly cracked, watching her match your expression, "Where Willy Typher was giving that speech?"
She nodded, rolling her amber eyes with a hint of a smile, "No - remind me." Gabi responded with an innocently sarcastic tone.
