A few peaceful hours passed you both. You sat beside Levi Ackerman, his hand laid on your thigh as you both sat on his bed, fingers entwined as his head rested against your shoulder. Both of you were lazily half dressed.
You slowly exhaled, the smell of burnt out cigarettes on your nightstand as you and Levi talked about everything and nothing at the same time, skipping from deep conversations about life to dumb questions and comments.
You looked up at your ceiling, "Would you rather-.."
He groaned sarcastically at the start of your question, "Oh god.." He rolled his eyes as you laughed quietly, "Not this again.."
"Would you rather," You carried on with a gentle smile, "Never see again, or never hear again?"
He thought for a few moments, clicking his tongue, "Erm-.. I don't know. Hear?"
"Why?"
"I don't know.. why do you keep asking me all these questions?" He groaned once again, leaning back as you half-closed your eyes.
You shook your head sarcastically, your eyes widening, "Because it's extremely important! You never know what's going to happen in the future, Levi.."
He gave you a disgusted look, "Because in the future someone is going to offer me the chance to either be deaf or blind?"
"Exactly!"
Levi laughed quietly, shaking his head at your pointless and meaningless questions towards him, "You're so dumb, Yaeger." He muttered quietly to you, letting out a restless sigh, "So.. dumb."
You punched him lightly, furrowing your eyebrows, "You ask me a question then, smart-ass."
"Hm." He raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself quietly with his lips poured out with thought, "What.. is your opinion on marriage?"
Your eyes widened.
He scoffed at your flushed and expression, "I just mean in general. Would you ever get married?"
You gave him a half-shrug half-nod, tilting your head, "It wouldn't be the worst thing. As long as it was with the right person. But what about you?"
He scrunched his nose, squinting his shifting eyes, "I dunno.." He honestly answered, "It sounds okay, I guess, but then I think about having to kiss someone infront of an entire crowd and say vows and stuff.." He gave you an embarrassed expression, "It just cringes me out to imagine myself doing all of that.. But I wouldn't mind just eloping somewhere, where no one I know is there - it could be fun.." Levi swallowed as if he was about to admit something, leaning back into the head board of your bed as the light from the ceiling hit against his bare shoulders and chest, "Plus, I feel like it'd be better to put that sort of money to other stuff."
You smiled, curious, "Like what?"
He shrugged, running his fingers through his hair, "Like a nice house in a nice area, for starters," He began explaining to you, "I grew up on the streets when I was young, so actually having a place of my- or our own.." He paused as you smiled at the fact that he'd said our, "It sounds pretty great."
You nodded, "Yeah, that would be nice."
"Also a cat." He shrugged.
Your eyebrow perked all the way, "A cat?"
He nodded as if what he had said was nothing, "Why are you so shocked?"
You smiled weakly, your eyebrow raised, "Nothing, I just.. never imagined you as a cat person." You looked away, letting out an awkward laugh to his offended expression, "You're so tough, and stuff."
