You sharply inhaled, your hand over your heart, feeling each rapid beat.

"L-Levi.."

You gazed down at the ring: a silver band with diamond quarts quilted around the edges. It had a large, sparkling diamond gazing up at you: you were almost able to see its reflection.

Your smile widened, displaying all teeth as you felt your eyes sting as you looked to him, unable to speak as he slowly breathed in and out.

"Levi.." You clasped your hands over your mouth, your chest hurting from your heart beating so loudly, "Oh my-.. it's beautiful!"

His eyes widened as he gave you an awkward smile, "Is that a yes?" His deep voice cracked halfway through the sentence with a laugh.

You nodded your head, "Of course it's a yes!"

Levi instantly jumped to his feet as his muscular arms locked around your waist, holding onto your body so tightly that only the tips of your feet touched the ground, your body leaning over his.

You felt your eyes sting.

He chuckled lightly against you, dropping you back to your feet with a warm smile spread across his cold cheeks, "I'm.. really, really fucking glad."

His kissed you lightly, the warmth of his lips like a fire that dusted the cold away.

He traced his hand along your wrist before taking the ring out of the box, reluctantly gliding the silver along your ring finger as your heart raced rapidly.

You let out a sharp sigh as he finally brought it to the bottom - the ring was a perfect fit.

You swung your arms over his shoulders once more, pulling him into a tight embrace as your eyes stung more, so overwhelmed with different emotions as the snow fell down on you both, growing heavier by the second.

He sniffled against your coat, letting out a warm sigh, "I didn't actually plan on doing it tonight, y'know.." He pulled away from you with a smile, "Me and Hange had planned a big evening back at the barracks, they apparently didn't trust me enough to do something like propose on my own. I don't know what that means, but-.. Heh. I guess I'm just lucky I've been keeping the ring on me since I bought it for you, right?"

You replied back with a quiet laugh, holding his hands tightly as your eyes stayed locked onto the shining diamond.

"But-.. Levi?" You raised an eyebrow, "Don't get me wrong, I want this, but-.. You told me before that you didn't care for marriage. I don't want you to marry me just because it will make me happy.."

"I don't understand what you're saying.. Y/N."

You shrugged, "Well, you told me that you went through great lengths to make your ex-girlfriend happy, even if doing something that you didn't want.." Your smile began to slowly fade at your own words, "I.. Are you doing that right now?"

However, your questioning brought more of a smile to his lips as he shook his head, holding tightly back onto your hands as you felt your grin return, "Y/N Yaeger. I'm being serious about this: I promise you. I don't want to just be your boyfriend for whatever time we have left together.. I want to hear you introduce me to people as your husband, I want to see a ring on your finger and know that it means your mine, I want to-.." His silver eyes lit up as he carelessly rambled, "I want to have a wedding, where I get to see you of all people walk down the isle towards me." He paused as you felt your heart swarm completely, feeling almost light headed, "I'm not being too corny, am I?"

You shook your head, feeling your eyes suddenly swell, your arms tightly wrapping around his shoulders so intensely that he almost fell back. He softly smiled, slowly embracing you as his hands lingered at your waist, pulling you into a kiss.

He laughed against your lips as you kissed, his head against yours as his black hair became stained with white snow, as did your coat.
"I love you, Y/N." He whispered gently against you, making your lips tickle with each syllable, "I want to marry you."

Your eyes turned a little glossy as you raised your arms, wrapping them around his soldiers, "I love you too, Levi."
