Adeline, we received a call from the court last night stating that we return today, on the last Friday of February. This whole thing has been postponed for ages now. It's ridiculous. It would be your birthday in a week or so as well. So that's going to be a pretty difficult day to pass through.
'Hey'
I look up to see Zaine making his way through the aisle as he sits next to me, looking at his phone. I nudge him as I quickly take it from his hands.
'Oi, I was in the middle of a game, thank you very much' he complains.
'You're an idiot, you can't use your phone in a courtroom. It's indecent' I say, sighing and shaking my head as I put his phone away in my purse.
'Your face is indecent' he childishly retorts in retaliation, as he leans back into the seat and disinterestedly folds his arms and looks at the door like he's got some place better to be.
