Mitchell exhaled heavily. He could still feel the blood thundering in his ears as he watched Markus left the room. He couldn't fathom the rush of feelings taking over his body.
Feelings that stayed with him until his last class.
He thought he would see Markus again, but he didn't see him for the rest of the day, and his mood dropped.
The air was still chilly as he made his way to the diner to get something to eat. While looking around, he saw a sign that read Pandora's Crystals.
A chimed sound echoed as he entered the shop, walking through the hanging door beads.
Mosaic Glass night lamps gave the room its eerie glow, but he could still see around his surroundings.
Shelves filled with books, lamps, candlesticks covered both sides of the room.
"I was wondering when I was going to meet the new guy."
He glanced behind him to find a guy wearing a beige sweater with cargo pants and glasses standing there with a smile on his face.
"I guess everyone can't wait to meet me."
"Charlie Gordon." He held out a hand towards him, so Mitchell shook his hand.
"Mitchell Wilkins. My mom and I just moved here from Los Angeles."
"Well, that explains the look. I moved here from New York eight years ago. Can I help you with anything?" Charlie asked, placing books on the shelve.
"Do you have incense? I need to get rid of this negative energy."
"Yeah, sure. Give me one minute."
He walked over to a shelf to grab the incense and a book then handed both items to him. "Here, this book will also help clear any excess dark energy. Take these candles as well."
Mitchell shook his head. "I didn't bring enough cash to cover all that."
"That's fine. Think of it as a welcome to Pine Crest present."
"Thanks." Mitchell said with a smile as he took the items from Charlie before leaving the store.
He was walking pass a stall when he saw his mom getting groceries from a stall. He hurried across the road towards her.
"I thought you were going to be out until late."
Sarah turned and smiled at him as she took the bag of groceries. "I was just picking up some fruits for you."
"Let me hold the bag."
"Thanks, honey."
"Next time just leave the money with me and I'll buy the fruits myself."
Sarah smiled at t him. "How was your first day at a small town school?"
"For a small town school it was very interesting."
"I bet it was. I'll see you later."
Sarah opened the car door, waving as she slid behind the wheel and closed the door. The Camry's engine fired to life, before pulling away from the sidewalk.
The walk home was quiet, since he still wasn't acquainted with anyone, no one stop to bother him.
Mitchell unlock the door and entered the house, making sure to lock the door. He went upstairs to check on Raven but she was on his bed fast asleep. He decided to take a shower then make himself dinner.
When he was in the shower, he braced his hands against the tiled wall, bent his head under the hot spray so the water ran over him. The water felt good against his skin.
He applied body wash to the sponge, lathering all over his body. Mitchell rinsed off the soap off his body then pushed aside the shower curtain to grab a towel from the rack.
Mitchell walked to the bathroom mirror and stared at his reflection.
He let the day play back through his mind and felt the same delicious shivers over his body.
He couldn't understand the intense feelings which were very stimulating. A fizzy sensation vibrated in his belly. Like an uncorked champagne bottle that wouldn't stop foaming.
Mitchell closed his eyes, as he imagined Markus kissing him. The thought brought a pleased smile to his face. The anticipation he felt was exquisitely sharp. He was acutely aware that he was standing naked, his mind having this vivid fantasy.
His limbs felt as though they were melting with warmth and a rapturous weakness.
He could feel the heat of his mouth seeking his lips...his hands seeking his skin...his muscular legs easing between his thighs.
"Oh, God," he breathed, opening his eyes. His flushed face stared back at him. He pressed his hands to his stomach and inhaled, but the feelings wouldn't subside.
"I know this is exciting, but I think we need to slow down on this passion stuff for a while."
There was such a thing as too much, too soon. They only just met but it felt like he had known him for a long time. Mitchell shook his head before getting dressed.
