Mitchell took Markus's s face in both hands, holding him still so he couldn't look away.
"I love you Markus. I'm in love with you."
Markus's eyes searched his face, and he let him. He had nothing to hide from him.
"I love you too, Mitchell."
Markus wrapped his arms around him, pressing their bodies together as he kissed him.
It wasn't a kiss full of hunger. It was a warm kiss, telling him that Markus was finally at peace knowing that he would stay with him.
"Would you like to meet my parents?"
"I'd love to meet them."
Markus gave him another kiss, this one more lighter.
"Come on, let's go back inside. I'm sure they're wondering what's going on."
Mitchell grasped his hand and pulled him through the open door.
Talking seized when they entered the room.
Markus just stood there, arms around his waist not saying a word.
One by one, everyone in the room stood to their feet, exchanging worried glances.
Tia was the first to approach them.
"Are you staying or going?"
Bluntness was apparently one of her traits.
"I'm staying."
Relieved smiles aimed his way. As well as congratulations.
"Why are you congratulating me?"
"Because it's a celebration. Markus found his mate, who didn't reject him."
"I wouldn't have rejected him."
"That's good to know." Kev said patting him on the back.
"Now is a good time to ask us any questions you have about us?" Susan finally said after observing the situation.
"You didn't seem as worried as the others. Why?"
"I'm a psychic. I can see things when I touch people, or control their minds. But only if it's necessary. I'm also his guardian."
Mitchell turned to Kev, "What about you?"
"I'm a Chimera..." Kev raised his hand, "no, not like teen wolf. I'm Susan's mate and Markus's guardian."
Chris raised his hand, "I'm a Mandrake. My mom is a human who fell in love with a mandrake."
"What's a mandrake?"
"A hybrid creature part plant and human."
"You don't look like a plant."
"That's because I'm in my human form."
Mitchell look him up and down in piquing curiosity. He wasn't built like a tree.
"You don't look bad being a tree."
Markus chuckled at him, flicking a finger on his nose but otherwise remained quiet.
"Do you want to know everything today?"
Mitchell shook his head. "We're here to have fun. I can't wrap my head around all this information."
"Well, I'm half Alkonost." Tracy told him, getting up.
"What's an Alkonost?"
"Do you want to me sing for you?"
"No! Don't you dare, Tracy."
