Mitchell stood outside the football field as he waited for Markus. He had called his phone early this morning, asking to meet up before class starts. He Leaned against the fence, watching the other students passed by.

Tonight was the party and he had decided to go since Markus had made it his mission to constantly ask him at every opportunity. But the truth was he wanted to go because he wanted to be near him.

Last night he had another dream about Markus. This one more sexual than the last. More intense, that left his body yearning. He wanted to feel his body against his, he wanted his hands on him.

"What's on your mind?"

He turned to find Markus smiling at him, his hands folded firmly across his chest. This time he was dressed head to feet in black.

"The party. I changed my mind."

Markus took a step forward, standing in front of him, staring at him intently.

"Good."

Mitchell could feel himself falling deeper into those dark hazel eyes.

Eyes that had captured his attention the first time he saw him. Between the light and shadow, this person in front of him seemed to attract both existence.

"I thought you might be bored without me." Mitchell smiled up at him.

Markus's eyes slowly trailed to his lips, where his eyes lingered for the longest time.

Mitchell licked his lips unconsciously, suddenly feeling nervous.

Markus was watching his mouth hungrily, his eyes darker than usual.

He watched him leaned closer and closer to him, as though he was being pulled by an invisible thread.

"Markus, are you alright?"

Markus shook his head, as though clearing fog from his mind.

"I'm fine. I just got lost in thought."

"Are you good now?"

Markus gave him a smile. "Never better. Let's get to class."

The rest of the day flew by with a moment of Mitchell glancing at Markus, who seemed distracted.

He only spoke when the teacher asked him a question. At the end of class Mitchell was worried about him. He didn't mind being ignored but he didn't want Markus to ignore him at all.

When the last class ended, Mitchell thought he would just leave without a word. Instead Markus got up to stand in front of his desk.

"I'm not ignoring you."

"Are you sure?"

"I was distracted. It won't happen again."

Mitchell looked up at him with wide eyes. His heart jump at the expression on Markus's face.

"It's fine. I just don't want you to ignore me."

Markus took his hand and pulled him to his feet. "I was just sorting out the thoughts in my head."

Mitchell picked up his bag. "Did you get them sorted?"

"Yes, I did."

They left the classroom and made their outside to his car, where Kev and Susan were waiting for them.

Kev had a huge grin on his face, while Sarah just smiled.

Markus rolled his eyes at them. "I'm going to drop him home then meet you guys later at the party."

Kev turned to look at Mitchell. "Will you be joining us?"

"I haven't made up my mind as yet."

"See you guys later." In the rear view mirror, he spotted his friends staring fixatedly at his vehicle. He turned on his music player, drumming his fingers against the steering wheel.

"Why did you tell Kev you hadn't made up your mind yet?"

Mitchell shrugged, taking the music player from Markus. "No reason."

"I like your music playlist."

Markus grinned, nodding his head as he hummed along to the music.

"I love making my own playlist."

Mitchell looked at him. "It's good. We listen to the same music."

"I'll have to make a playlist for you."

"I'd like that."

He smiled again and Mitchell just wanted to soak it in. Given the fierce attraction that coiled through him like concertina wire, spending the night with at the party probably wasn't such a good idea. He wanted to spend as much time as possible with him, get to know him.

When Markus pulled up in front of his house, he turned to him. "Thanks for the ride."

Mitchell grabbed his bag, opened the door and got out of the vehicle. He stood for a moment before turning to find Markus gazing at him.

"We have to leave early since it's a thirty minute drive. I'll be here at seven-thirty."

"Okay."

This time, he didn't look back as he walked to the front door. He took his keys out of his pocket and unlocked the door then entered the house, locking the door behind him. He moved from the narrow foyer into the living room. Mitchell paused in front of the windows, moving aside the curtains to look outside. He felt that familiar jolt, letting him know that Markus was watching him.

Markus honked his horn once then drove off.
