Markus kiss him on the mouth with a laugh before releasing his leg. He watched Mitchell leaning on the edge, naked the swim trunks still around his legs. Markus's eyes raked over his figure, and he felt that familiar heat in his stomach.

"Let's take one last swim." Maybe the water would cool him down.

They took one last swim, before leaving the pool.

"What's your plan for your birthday?"

Markus shrugged his shoulders. "Not sure as yet. I don't want to have be a party though."

"Why not?"

"I want to celebrate it quietly this time."

"Will that be possible?"

"I doubt it."

Mitchell turned to him. "Will your parents be here?"

"They should be back by then."

They entered the room from earlier, changed back into their clothes then rejoined the party, it was already winding down with only a few students who were sleeping over remaining. But Kev and Susan were nowhere to be seen. They headed towards the kitchen to get something to drink.

"Where do you think they went?"

"They're probably in a room upstairs, fucking their brains out."

Markus laughed at Mitchell who quickly looked away with a blush on his face. He turned Mitchell's face back towards him.

Markus smiled at him. "Why are you blushing? That will be us soon."

Mitchell put his head on his chest, hiding his burning face from Markus's gaze. He knew Markus was a very blunt person who tends to say whatever was on his mind but he still wasn't use to it.

"Do you enjoy teasing me?"

"I enjoy doing a lot of things to you and teasing you happens to be on that list."

Markus took two bottles of water from the refrigerator and handed one to him. Mitchell glanced around to find Tim standing in a corner, staring at them with an unreadable expression.

Mitchell didn't look away, he just stared back at him. He didn't know what it was but his instinct was telling him to be wary. He didn't want this to spoil his fun or time with Markus.

"Look. Here they come."

The sound of Markus's voice had him turning around. Kev and Susan were walking towards them grinning from ear to ear.

"Hey, are you guys ready?" Kev asked

"We're waiting on you." Markus said, taking a sip of his water. He went up behind Mitchell and rest his chin on his shoulder, pulling Mitchell's body to lean back against his own.

"The view upstairs is magnificent. It was really hard not to find pleasure in it." Susan winked at Mitchell.

Markus grinned at her. "I bet you enjoyed it a lot, huh?"

"I sure did. As always."

Kev took her hand in his, pulling her away from the kitchen. They were on their way to the front door, when Tim met them at the door.

"It's still early. Why are you guys leaving already?"

"I have to carry Mitchell home."

"I thought you would be staying over."

Markus shook his head. "Not this time Tim. We don't want to be a bother."

"I really don't mind."

"No, we're good. Thanks for the invite though."

"No problem. I'll see you around." He said with a forced smile before walking away.

Kev looked at Markus. "What was that about?"

"I don't know."

They walked outside and made their way to their vehicles. When they reached Kev's Chevrolet which parked closer to the house Mitchell said goodbye to Kev and Susan.

"Did you enjoyed the party?" Markus asked as he unlocked the car.

Mitchell got into the vehicle, with closed his eyes, he leaned his head back.

"Yes, I did. Thanks for taking me."

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm just tired."

"Get some rest. I'll wake you up."

Markus switched on his stereo system and instantly filled the car with the sound of 'Sirens' by Fleurie.

Twenty minutes later he finally pulled up in front of Mitchell's house.

"Mitchell, we're here." Markus turned the volume down and twisted his body to look at him.

"That was quick." Mitchell sat up with a yawn.

Markus chuckled at him. "It only seems that way."

"I had a really good time."

Markus leaned over the armrest console and gave him a kiss on his mouth.

Mitchell started to move away but Markus grabbed his head, giving him a deeper kiss. His tongue explored his mouth, claiming him.

"Much better." Markus whispered against his lips.

Mitchell opened the door and exited the vehicle. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Mitchell took the keys from his pocket as he walked towards the front door. He turned to wave at Markus, who was still staring out the window at him.

He unlocked the door and stepped inside, closing the door softly behind him. Taking his phone from his pocket, he glanced at the time.

With light steps, he went upstairs to his room, passing his mom's bedroom without knocking on her door. It was late and he didn't want to make any noise to wake her.

Mitchell entered his room and closed the door behind him. Mitchell let out a laugh when he spotted Raven asleep on his bed, her furry legs on his pillow.

He went to his closet to change his clothes when a sudden chill seemed to grip the room. It wasn't noticeable until it started to get colder and colder to the point where he could see his breath.

Mitchell could sense someone or something in his room, but was aware of the presence in his room.

He slowly closed the closet door, then turned around to find Malachi's ghost staring at him.
