Markus pulled up in front of Mitchell's house, leaving the engine running. He turned to Mitchell, his eyes staring at his sleeping face before bending towards him. He traced his fingers down Mitchell's cheek to his jaw, lightly touching those beautiful lips.
A sudden urge came over him so he lightly grasped Mitchell's chin in his hand and bent forward to kiss him on his mouth. Just a simple brush of lips.
Mitchell's eyes fluttered open. "It's a great way to wake up but you're cheating."
"I couldn't resist it. Come on, you're home." Markus took his hand in his when they exited the vehicle and walked him to the front door.
"Text me when you reach home."
Markus stared at him for a couple seconds then pulled Mitchell closer to his body, then he slowly lowered his head to kiss him. He cradled the back of his neck, squeezing but not too tightly. He held back from being too aggressive instead giving him a slow gentle kiss that finished before he got ahead of himself.
Markus took a step back, watching him. "I will."
He walked back to his car, keeping his gaze forward. It was hard for him not to grab and kiss Mitchell like he wanted. He didn't understand the reason for these feelings or the insatiable need to take him.
The drive to his home was quiet, he had forgo the idea of listening to the radio because he wanted complete silence while he gathered his thoughts.
He pulled into the driveway and turned off the ignition, watching the darkened mansion.
Markus grabbed his bag and got out of the vehicle, walked up to the front door, his footsteps echoing around him and opened the door.
Inside, he went straight up the stairs to his room. He threw the bag onto the bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later, he emerged feeling refreshed, he put on a pair of sweats then sat on his bed to call Mitchell.
The phone rang twice before Mitchell answered.
"You're home?"
"Just wanted to check in."
Soft laughter drifted into his ear, making him smile.
"Thanks again for taking me out. I really had a good time."
"Anytime."
"Sweet dreams, Markus."
"You too, Mitchell." Markus ended the call. Knowing that sleep wouldn't be coming for a while, he went downstairs. Just as he reached the end of the stairs, his phone started ringing.
He glanced down at his phone and frowned, it was the same unknown number that have been calling him non-stop for a while now. A loud screeching noise was heard coming from the phone, but the screen was completely blank.
Slowly he lifted the phone to his ear as he proceeded upstairs to his room.
"Why don't you answer your phone, Markus?" asked a garbled voice.
"Why do you keep calling my phone?"
"You will belong to me. Not him."
The dial tone beeped in his ear.
Markus quickly pulled the phone away from his ear, looking at it apprehensively. He pressed the button on his phone to turn it on, scrolling through the call log but the unknown number hadn't registered.
Placing the phone on his dresser, he push the call and the voice to the back of his mind.
He pulled back the covers and slid under, sighing when the cool sheets touched his skin. The coolness and the quiet was finally lulling him to sleep when suddenly his body felt like it was doused in fire. The heat becoming unbearably.
He shoved the covers off, hoping the cool air would soothe him but it didn't help at all. He blew out an annoyed breath, got up and went into bathroom.
He took off his sweats and got into the shower, turning it on full blast. A gasp leaving his mouth as the cold water hit his heated body, but the coldness of the water seemed to do the trick of cooling his body.
By the time he stepped out of the shower, he was trembling from the cold. He went into his bedroom and put on a clean sweat pants with a shirt this time.
Even when he went back to bed, his eyes refused to close. Instead he pick up his phone to look at the time. It was after three in the morning. It look like he was getting up late.
He played a game on his phone to pass the time. By four in the morning, sleep finally washed over him. He fell asleep, missing the face that watched him from the shadows of his window.
