Markus parked his car next to Kev's Chevrolet. The doors were opened, with Kev sitting on the trunk with Susan between his legs.

"Just in time. The others are already setting up." Kev said as he hopped off the vehicle. He put his arm around Susan's shoulders and walked towards them.

They exited the vehicle and Markus got the bag he had packed from the backseat. He slung the strap over his shoulder taking Mitchell's hand as they walked down the pathway leading to the bluff.

"This is really beautiful." Mitchell said in awe.

Markus couldn't agree more. He looked at the wide expanse of sandy shore. The blue green ocean was exceptionally beautiful.

"I wasn't expecting Pine Crest to have places like this."

"Pine Crest may be small to outsiders but it's not to the locals. We have a lot of places we can go to entertain ourselves."

"That's true. Pine Crest is a beautiful mysterious place." Kev nodded his head in agreement.

They finally reached the clearing, where the group of six were already setting up tables and chairs.

"Here comes the big boss!" Kev shouted.

Leave it to Kev to be the airhead of the group. He walked to the group still holding Mitchell's hand.

"Mitchell, this is Tom, Pamela, Tracy, Dan, Tia and Chris." Markus looked at the group.

"This is Mitchell." He didn't have a problem telling them, since they already knew his sexual orientation.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mitchell." Tia the brunette held out her for him to shake with a smile.

Markus wasn't surprised that she took the initiative.

She turned to him. "Now that you're here, we can eat."

"Why didn't you guys start without me?"

"We wanted to wait on you. You're our..." Her voice trailed off as she glanced back at the others.

"I'm your what?" Markus asked with a frown.

Tom stepped forward. "What she meant was we did this for you."

"I'll help you guys set up."

Tia lead them to two tables they had set up, with food and drinks, while Dan and Tom went to the grill.

"Alright, let's eat!" Tom shouted a couple of minutes later.

Markus turned to Mitchell. "Do you want anything in particular?"

"Anything is fine."

Markus took two plates and went to the grill. He filled both plates with ribs, corn and buttery potatoes.

When he reached the table he saw Mitchell and Tia talking with each other.

"Here you go." He gave Mitchell his plate then sat down.

"Thanks."

Mitchell smiled at him, making his stomach tingle. He wondered if that will always happen every time he smiled at him. Someone cleared their throat making Markus realize he had been staring too long at Mitchell.

"How long will you guys be staying here?" Markus asked looking around the table.

There was a pause as his friends looked at each other then Tia smiled at him.

"We're all staying until your birthday."

"My parents will be happy to see you guys."

His parents had known their family before they left Pine Crest, even when they returned it was like nothing had changed between them.

"My parents will be back in three months."

He took a bit of his potatoes. They were actually good.

"Pamela, your mom's potatoes are delicious."

"Thanks. She made them especially for you."

Tia turned to Mitchell. "How did you guys meet?"

"We met in class."

Mitchell smiled as though he was remembering that day.

"Kev was being an asshole. Then Markus came in and my brain actually stopped functioning when I saw him..." Mitchell trailed off when he realized he was babbling too much.

Markus watched him with amusement. "I guess I have quite the effect on you."

"I'm not going to answer."

Markus smiled at him, while the others laughed.

"You both look good together. " Tia remarked.

He took Mitchell's hand, interlacing their fingers. He was fortunate that Mitchell and his mom had moved to Pine Crest. To think that if he hadn't moved here, he would never have found him.

"Thanks."

When they were done eating, Markus helped clear the table then walked over to Mitchell and nudged his shoulder.

"Do you want me to show you around?"

"Sure. I don't mind stretching my legs for a bit."

Markus raises his hand, signaling to Kev. "We'll be back in a few."

"Okay."

He saw Kev exchange looks with the others and frowned.

What the hell was up them? They've been acting weird since he arrived.

He intertwined their fingers as they walked along the gravel pathway, which led them to a wooden pier overlooking the clear blue water.

"This is really beautiful." Mitchell said, looking at the view.

"Do you like it?"

"What's not to like?"

Markus pulled him back against his chest and wrapped his arms around him.

"It's really beautiful, especially at night. There are lights attached to the sides which comes on."

"I would love to see that."

"Don't worry, you will."

"How long will we here?"

"Just until the lights comes on. Then we head home."

Mitchell let out a contented sigh, leaning slightly forward to see over the pier.

Markus could see the rocks at the bottom of crystal clear water. The water wasn't deep where they were standing.

"Thanks for inviting me here."

Markus put a hand on his shoulder to turn him around. He put a finger under Mitchell's chin and tilted his face upwards, locking their lips together. He pulled him closer to his body as though he wanted to imprint him on his skin.

Markus could feel his fingers tightened on Mitchell's arms as he felt that burning heat in his stomach. He trailed kisses along the skin of his neck, sucking the skin into his mouth. He scraped his teeth back and forth on Mitchell's skin. Smooth skin that he wanted to bite into.

"Markus...Markus are you okay?"

Realizing what he was about to do, Markus backed away. "I'm fine. We should head back before the others come looking for us."

Mitchell touched his cheek. "Why is your skin so hot?"

"It's nothing. Let's go."
